Founded in 1931, Stade de Reims became one of the biggest French clubs in the 1950s thanks to its prestigious list of achievements. In 1956, the Remois club won the first final in the history of the Champions League against Real Madrid. With emblematic footballers such as Raymond Kopa and Just Fontaine at his helm, he won the hearts of the French and remained at the top until 1979. Then it was the decline and fall in 1991. A year later, the club was reborn from the ashes. Crossing the city from one end to the other, the Coulée verte de Reims is a twelve-kilometre-long path along the Aisne-Marne canal. The route starts at La Neuvillette and heads south towards Courcelles and the faubourg de Clairmarais. The Coulée then crosses the center of Reims, passing by the old port, and then approaches the course of the Vesle and the park of the same name to the start of the industrial zone. A North-South link, but also a future leisure area and, above all, a formidable tool for urban revitalization, the coulée verte is an area worth discovering.

Calling all cyclists and bike enthusiasts: the Vel'Oxygène association is opening its Maison du vélo! The atmosphere is one of conviviality in this place of exchange, information and sharing, where two-wheeled enthusiasts come together to share the same passion. Leave the car behind and take your bike out for a spin to discover the many activities on offer. The association offers self-repair workshops where you can learn how to maintain and repair your bike yourself, a bike school for beginners, film screenings, conferences and a host of other cycling-related cultural events. And for a friendly get-together with other cyclists, bike rides and apéro-vélo events are organized on a regular basis.

A recent water base complemented by a harbour and equipped with showers and sanitary facilities. There are pontoons for electricity and water, and 14 boats can go there.

A variety of routes take you to Epernay and the surrounding area, just go to the tourist office to get the brochure «Epernay, of vineyards in town» which offers three courses. Also take the floral arrow circuits in the city, the southern slopes of Epernay as well as the Mutigny trail not far from the city. The UFOLEP Sports Centre hosts groups for sports and full nature activities offered by state-patented officials, as well as high-level sports courses or training courses. This centre also allows different nautical pleasures. All you have to do is join the association and it is possible to rent equipment, canoes, kayaks on the half day or day. It is also possible to try sailing, windsurfing, catamaran, board or dinghy; the vest is always provided.

Champagne Dominions Moreau offers a cycling circuit in the heart of their Champenoises vineyards (go/return Mancy-Cramant) for a period of two to three hours. The Association Les Amis du Circuit de Gueux (ACG) oversees the preservation of the Circuit de Gueux, part of the history of French motor racing (listed as a Monument Historique). It is in charge of restoring the buildings and the site, such as the grandstands, the pits, etc. It's a mythical site in the history of motor racing near Reims. Opened in 1926, it has hosted 14 F1 Grands Prix de France. Meet our members every Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the circuit.

Escape guaranteed! Just a step away from the Vesle bridge between Trigny and Muizon, get on board a two-seater canoe and discover the richness of the Champagne heritage by going down the Vesle. A 6 km bucolic escapade, ideal for a good time with family or friends. Cycling enthusiasts can opt for the free option and ride their bikes (with or without electric assistance) through the vineyards and forests of the Saint-Thierry massif before continuing the ride along the river. This will allow you to explore the region at your own pace.

Do you dream of going a little closer to the stars? Become an astronomer for one night. Under the observatory's dome, you will discover the starry vault as you have never seen it before through the T410, the largest telescope in the region. Moons, planets, stars and galaxies very, very far away, a whole universe to explore. Weather permitting, the observatory is open to the public every Friday evening, from August to April. Public and free evenings are organized throughout this period for the curious and astronomy enthusiasts.

L'Aquarelle is the largest aquatic center in the region! The municipality has set up four easy hiking trails to discover Orbais-the Abbey. Long from 30 minutes to 1 h, they address different themes related to the heritage of the commune: the vine (2,5 km), the mountain (2,4 km), the mill (1,5 km) and the panorama of Orbais (1 h). The trails will take you to the abbey church built in the th century and to the Museum of rural life.
