Located at the gateway to the city, on the banks of the Bourbince river, it offers a fascinating spectacle for horse lovers. Races take place on a vast, undevelopable plateau, offering a pleasant, spacious setting. The grandstands welcome overexcited punters who cheer on their favorites at the ten race meetings held each year. The racecourse also boasts a 120-cover restaurant, ideal for dining during the races. For horse racing fans, Paray-le-Monial racecourse is a must.

From the moment the starter gives the signal, the spectacle is everywhere, whether on the racetrack or in the grandstands where punters cheer on their favorites. The Société des Courses Hippiques de La Clayette looks forward to welcoming you to its friendly, rural setting at the Montgelly racecourse.

As in Beaune and Chablis, a visit to the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne can't end without a tasting at the fully-glazed Bar des Découvertes, overlooking the Saône. Treat yourself to one of the selected vintages: wines by the glass, by the bottle, from the Mâconnais to the Chablisien, via the Côtes de Beaune, Nuits and Chalonnaise! Quality snacks, charcuterie/cheese boards and regional jars, themed after-works...

Tango Swing et Bretelles, aka TSB, has enlivened Montcelli autumn for many years. In 2024, this musical festival changed its name (not yet revealed at the time of writing) and shortened its duration, condensing to three days, from September 26 to 28. It also concentrates on a single venue, the Embarcadère. What remains unchanged, a tradition too deeply rooted for Montcelliens, is the Foire aux grattons, which will celebrate this greasy culinary specialty on Saturday in the Place de l'Eglise.

In early May, Montceau-les-Mines is the heart of the Overseas Festival in Burgundy, which aims to highlight the role of Saône-et-Loire in the abolition of slavery. One of its highlights in 2024 will be a recital by Marie-Claude Bottius. This lyric artist from Martinique has put together a show highlighting the abolitionist writers, musicians and composers of ^19th-century French opera. It's a beautiful musical historical plunge.

Whether with family or friends, for fun or challenge, there are many reasons to go bowling. The Quanta bowling alley, perfectly located on the outskirts of town in the Prés Saint-Jean district, is sure to appeal to all bowling enthusiasts. With fourteen approved lanes, bowling balls for the very young to try their hand at, shoe rental, 250^m2 of video game space and capacity for private events, the venue has plenty to offer. A sports complex with a wide range of activities for young and old.

L'Ambroisie, food of the gods according to Greek mythology, is an exceptional Chalon-sur-Saône patisserie created in 1997. Its tea room is ideal for enjoying entremets, delicious chocolates or macaroons in style. L'Ambroisie's decor revives the style of the building constructed in the early ^19th century. The terracotta floor tiles, the luxuriously molded ceiling and the furnishings plunge you into a highly refined Belle Epoque world. A refined, sweet gourmet break close to the city center and train station.

Three rooms for three atmospheres. The so-called generalist room, where young and a little younger are found for a very dance atmosphere. The bamboo club club for the really less young disco rock'n'roll and zouk machine, and the room Le Jardin d'Eden which is in fact a pub where one can grow la (for the modest) or make real vocalizations (for Céline Dion).

The Irish pub, run since 1984 by the emblematic Ginette and Gilbert, has inevitably been the HQ of all Autunois at one time or another. The establishment ticks all the pub boxes, from the decor to the live broadcasts of sporting events that thrill the crowds, not to mention the drinks menu (over 80 beers and numerous spirits) and the snack offer (croque-monsieur, sausages, cheese...). A billiards room and a large terrace are also part of the soul of the place. And of course, concerts and festive events are regularly organized.

This establishment, which was resumed at the end of 2013 by a new boss, changed: finished the Irish atmosphere, "out" also, the strict pub function: here you can also buy wine to take (between 20 € and 80 € the bottle) and this is probably the most worthy aspect. The boss who constantly searches for new origins in local wines is provided at a vineyard in Beaune. If you come at the right time, you can find here a vosne-romanée 1998, or some good pommare. No? Ah! You are not very "wine"? Let's do it, the uncovers boss of rare whiskies that enrich your knowledge. Nor is it? Then choose a beer, there is a suitable choice. The hotel also serves a market kitchen at any time (charcuterie plates, andouillettes, carbonara pasta, fresh salads…). None of what you'll have decided will stop you from playing a baby, playing chess, darts, billiards… waiting on Saturday, Saturday night or karaoke (twice in the month). This place also organizes private and even very private evenings.

Three evenings a week and three very different atmospheres for this defensible club of the Creusot and Montceau-les-Mines. The Traxx is open to everyone but has a small preference for gay and lesbian audiences. The mood of Saturday night is rather techno-house, while Sunday's is really a nutty: There is a well-known show, which attracts a lot of people from far enough. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This café, close to the town centre of Chalon, offers the possibility to consult the Internet, but also makes it possible to make impressions thanks to the equipment of the places: photocopier, fax, scanner… Fans of network games will also be able to come here to steam on titles such as Half Life, Counter Strike Source or Warcraft. Notice to amateurs! The establishment remains primarily a computer product store. 

L'Entracte, well known to the people of Creusot for its bistronomic restaurant that will delight the taste buds of gourmets, is also becoming increasingly famous for its bar where it is pleasant to meet with friends. On the terrace or comfortably installed in a cognac-colored armchair on the mezzanine, enjoy one of the vintages on the menu, a craft beer or a cocktail that you will gladly accompany in the evenings with an appetizer board made of homemade charcuterie and cheese. It is a pretty cocoon with a chic decoration in grey and parma, at 44 Grand-Rue, which welcomes lovers of homemade teas and pastries. We sit down at any time for a hot drink, but regulars know that here we can also enjoy a homemade soup at first frost or a pretty bowl of ice cream with the most surprising flavours on the hottest shelves. From Monday to Friday, homemade waffles with chocolate sugar or even whipped cream delight adults and children alike. We like the small terrace, the soft atmosphere and the smile of Myriam Chapey, the very pleasant owner of the place. Finally we can also leave with our tea pack also available on the menu. A very nice address.

All new and beautiful, the Au Bureau pub-brewery has opened its doors jointly with those of the Mégarama, and for good reason: it is located on the esplanade of the cinema complex and it is a godsend. In a setting inspired by London's very chic and authentic pubs, Jérémie Chrétien and Olivier Carel opened the doors of this superb place that will seduce customers of all ages. They will appreciate the proximity of the venue, allowing them to have a drink before or after a movie session without having to move their vehicle, as well as the atmosphere of the place. Leather armchairs, subdued lights, large dining room or more intimate corners, the 250 ^m2 space can accommodate up to 150 place settings. We will appreciate the wide range of time available to really find a solution for all tastes, desires and genres, for a one-to-one drink, as well as for an afterwork around an aperitif board, or a broadcast evening of a sporting event. A simple brasserie menu will complete this beautiful offer, as will the concert atmospheres or theme evenings organised from time to time...

Open since 2022, 10.55 is already a must for families in the Chalonnais. Children can't wait to hear the name. It has to be said that the site has bet on an impressive number of activities. There's a trampoline park, a bowling alley, a laser game, virtual reality games, a Ninja course, an inflatable park, a tac-tic room and axe-throwing. All in all, a very tired and noisy atmosphere. A brasserie is also open for lunch and dinner.

On the Via Agrippa, the site of Chaintré is famous since ancient times and it is not surprising that the Cave de Chaintré is itself built on the site of a Gallo-Roman villa which was one of the largest wineries in the region. At Chaintré, it is not only the history and views that are exceptional, there is also a vineyard ideally exposed in the last ramparts of Macon, overlooking the plain of the Saône. The Cave Chaintré founded in 1928, is one of the oldest in France and, to our taste, one of the best. In respect of the Burgundian tradition, it offers outstanding white wines from Chardonnay, flourishing on clay-limestone soils. This human-sized cellar where you are always received with a smile for the tasting, produces excellent Pouilly-Fuissé is regularly awarded medals, of which are a Cantrius, a Chevrieres or a Clos Reyssier. Among the other wines not miss to discover, in a large modern and bright shop, in shades of ocher and green apple are: Pouilly - Vinzelles, the Saint-Véran, the Macon - Fuissé and Mâcon - Chaintré for whites. The cellar also offers almost all the Beaujolais crus in red (Juliénas, St Amour, Chénas, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Morgon, Moulin à Vent, Bouilly and Beaujolais Villages). The winery also produces a rosé wine and a delicious Crémant de Bourgogne. The shop also presents some local products to complete its gourmet basket: Marc de Bourgogne, blackcurrant cream, honey, jams... Possibility to taste the wines, with comments in French and English.

After taking part in TF1's "SOS Villages" operation, the Casabroc Café opened its doors under the impetus of Valérie Benardin to breathe new life into the small village of Charbonnat. Recycled materials and a friendly atmosphere are the order of the day in this cosy café, second-hand goods shop, tea room and second-hand clothes and books resale. Themed evenings are also organized, as well as food-truck evenings where you can sample dishes from local artisans. A great initiative that we salute!

Chez Virgule is open from early morning until very late at night and the following morning. During the day, we serve breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. But the bar is open at all hours. Serious business takes place in the cellar, with its festive atmosphere, wine bar, cocktails, beers and frequent Happy Hours, where you can relax and have fun. Beware, however, that on the evenings when rugby or other matches are being broadcast, there's no room for music! A place for sharing and conviviality, where it's good to take a break.

It is on the Place Saint-Vincent, in the chic and cosy atmosphere of the Cathé that the people of Chalonnais like to end their evenings. People come to have an aperitif at the end of the afternoon, they come to have dinner before continuing the evening or they meet to party until the end of the night. La Cathé is known for its numerous animations. Why not try the karaoke night on the 3rd Thursday of the month? Conviviality, good mood, laughter... the regulars mix with curious visitors for a unique moment. That's the atmosphere of the Cathé!

"Bierexquise and conviviali-thé" are the watchwords of the Papyllon. As well known locally for the strong personality of its owner, Wolfgang, as for its impressive beer list, the Papyllon is a landmark address just outside Cluny on the edge of the greenway. A large parking lot, a large room and a vast terrace beside the cycle path: everything is designed to invite you to take a break. In addition to a hundred or so beers, mainly German and Belgian, you'll find a wide range of fruit juices, non-alcoholic cocktails, local wines, teas and organic herbal teas.

La Grange Rouge is a large cultural association whose aim is to promote all aspects of Bresse's heritage. Theater, dance, music, gastronomy, heritage and environmental workshops are offered year-round through a rich program of festivals, including the famous Trad en Fête. Another event that has earned the town a European reputation for its flea markets is the organization of four huge flea markets (July 7, August 4, September¹ and 22, 2024), bringing together hundreds of exhibitors.

Created in 2021 by Bastien and Aurélien, two enthusiasts who met at drama school, Kezaco is a theater café open all year round, with comedy plays, one-man shows and regular improvisation sessions, as well as children's shows and theater workshops. A true café-théâtre, where you can enjoy a drink, tapas and dessert before and after performances. A warm place dedicated to laughter and good humor, ideal for ending a day of sightseeing in style.

La Cave du Caboulot, created in 2022 by Lauriane Lava, is the fruit of a passion for wine developed by the owner in her parents' restaurant and during her studies in Beaune. The address is brimming with treasures from every region, and also boasts a wine bar. The atmosphere is very friendly, especially during the regularly organized theme evenings (cider night, Argentina night, St. Patrick's day, concerts...). Aperitif platters of artisanal cheeses and charcuterie round out the menu.

The harbor master's office in Verdun sur le Doubs is not only a place of services for boaters. Nathalie Da Rold who took over the establishment in 2022 has made it attractive to all. The bar, its completely redecorated room with new furniture in a marine spirit, its terrace and its pergola invite you to have a refreshment, an artisanal ice cream or even a nice aperitif or a small meal. The harbourmaster's office is back, and with a superb view on the Saône and the port!

The café-théâtre can accommodate around 150 people. The café-théâtre website features a calendar of upcoming shows, including theater, improvisation, circus and concerts. You can also enjoy a glass of local produce. The café-théâtre also offers invitations and discounts for certain shows. To get to Kezaco Café-Théâtre, we recommend parking in the Rambuteau parking lot, which is close to Mâcon town center.
