Read moreIn 2017, the restaurant put its anvil in the middle of the rue de Strasbourg and Elodie and Pierre Granger are the happy owners. Elodie works in the dining room while the chef, who has worked at the Chapeau Rouge, among other places, is busy in the kitchen. The art of good workmanship and craftsmanship in general, he got it from his father, a former blacksmith, a nice tribute paid that to name the restaurant "la Forge". The beautiful materials rub shoulders with the beautiful plates. A room with stone walls, wooden furniture, the dressing is sober, the color is in the plate. At the table a unique menu in addition to the menu of the day. Everything is fresh and home-cooked, the dishes are elaborated with accuracy and the cooking is perfect. This day paved with salmon in sorrel sauce for a smooth starter, followed by a veal chop creamed with maple turnips and small vegetables, the veal juice was just perfect! Special mention for the crackling cabbage and candied kumquats, a mix of absolutely divine flavours and textures! A table to discover for sure.

Two dining rooms with the discreet and classic charm of rustic furniture and stone walls, with a fireplace providing a warm touch. L 'Auberge des Alouettes offers traditional French cuisine made home with Burgundian specialties. In the second menu: quenching picks of crayfish or salad of candied giveaways, crust, duck duct and duck foie gras, steam-steamed daurade filet sauce good woman or calf head, dressing with trousers. On the sweet side, you will find, among other things, the French cream lemon crepes or even the sorbet wineron with its sorbet cassis cassis liqueur and Burgundy marc. With its proximity to the chalonnaise coast, it is not surprising to find mainly wines from the region to the wine list. An establishment that remains a safe value.

While waiting for the work to be done, Loan and his boss have a lot of ideas in their basket. The kitchen is 100% homemade, with an unbeatable price/quality ratio. The theme evenings at the wine bar are already setting the tone with a clientele that supports the project. The establishment enjoys a breathtaking view of the lake, from where you can also admire the glazed tiles of the military school or the cathedral in the distance. We do not hesitate to settle on the terrace as soon as the sun comes out.
