Fernando and Paco's restaurant is nationally renowned, serving mainly seafood and fish dishes (fried, grilled or in sauce) from local fishermen. It's a real treat: in a large, comfortable dining room or on an upstairs terrace overlooking the mouth of the Guadalquivir and the pine forests of Doñana. The address also has a tapas bar (more economical and closer to the shore), just around the corner.

To choose, a whole bunch of tapas where you can soak your fingers, without restraint, to break up crustaceans or to catch small wooden peaks and get the content of shells out. Don't miss the tortillitas of camarones, fine omelettes with baby shrimp, even King Juan Carlos goûtées them on a catering in Sanlúcar in February 2008. Inside or on this central square, it is a clientele, heterogeneous in costume or quite relaxed, which tests the freshness of the ocean and small homemade dishes by dildo the whole white wine or manzanilla. Unavoidable! It is by taking a small central lane from the plaza del Arenal that we lead to small terraces, near the old fish market (now recently the exhibition room). Some of them belong to a very good address (quality Q certified) with charming interior patio, it is the house where chef Faustino and his second, probably among the best cooks in Andalusia, or even Spain, with the débordante olive oil. The map has not changed since 1943, but proposes only great moments for eyes and then for the olfactory papillae and taste: The…, the…, the…, the…, the…, the…, the…, the…, the…, the…, the…, the…, the…, the… and the…. All of the gourmets regularly find themselves in the midst of frames and paintings in Faustino's honour. Note that despite the many shots, the professional service is still listening! Juanito has recently established Alta Cazuela, a full catering service and develops its inimitable cuisine in two establishments, Mirabanda in the NH Avenida Jerez and Isabella Hotel at the Hace Villa Jerez Hotel.

Opened since the beginning of 2018 by Juan Lú Fernández, chef de cuisine at the Aponiente restaurant for 10 years. On the theatre side, it is the art of cooking and the products that are highlighted. Located in the centre of the restaurant, the kitchen functions as an "island" according to the chef and will allow you to follow the preparation of the dishes live. Either sitting on the barras on either side of the central island, or from a few tables, accompanied by their Louis XVI style chairs. And the prepared products, essential according to the chef, are displayed with all the honour they deserve. On the French side, you can enjoy a Bresse duck with Périgordine sauce, poultry raised in France and a whole series of sauces such as gribiche or beurre blanc. Not to mention of course the seafood from the Bay of Cadiz. Baba or chocolate soufflé can close the meal. With a wine list that logically favours Jerez wines.

Not having an equivalent in Arcos De La Frontera, we advise you to make a dozen kilometres to the town of Bornos. Bornos, its reserve a little abandoned water, its castle Fontanar- palace los Ribera (xiv-xvie centuries) and its sumptuous gardens and then, the cave of good food: El Pengue! In the heart of the village, still an Andalusian restaurant that does not pay too much, but this establishment founded in 1972 strives to stand normality thanks to a daily menu of combining fresh products and know-how, highlighted beautiful touches of author! Marco, delight, is a young and friendly, enthusiastic chef recently, he took over the family business, simply looking for pleasure! Two to three times a week, it leaves to Sanlucar De Barrameda for its fish and seafood before concocting a plethora of delicious recipes. The guy also takes pains search for some good meat (room of the butcher, rib...) to escort good vintage beverages. At the bar, in lounge or terrace, Pascale, Breton marseille, the service, always scores points by its kindness. More atmosphere in the evening, this place is recommended to goods - lively, eyes closed!

A little hard to digest frites mer (ortiguillas fritas), we almost want to tell the dynamic server to remove the louche of aioli on tallarines/soup in cuttlefish ink, not bad la (whiting) in Sherry wine… And servings are copious.

For those allergic to fish, charcuterie and black pork meats from the Sierra de Huelva really take pride of place in this house, named after a village in western Andalusia and decorated to resemble an old inn(mesón). Since 1966, tapas and raciones have been served at the bar or in the lounge: cheeks, aloyaux, chops, scrambled eggs(revueltos) and even some fish... All in a very warm and lively atmosphere. The place is packed every weekend, as is its neighbor across the street, Cervecería Marisquería Aurelio, with its complementary focus on seafood.

This blue rooster is housed in an iconic building in Jerez, designed by Aníbal González and considered one of the great Mudejar achievements in Andalusia. It was built by the Domecq winery as a gift to the city on the occasion of the Universal Exposition in Seville in 1929, and has always served to promote the wines of this winery. Since 2022, it is also positioned as a bistro, "French style", in a completely refurbished interior on 3 floors.
