Near Vézelay, run to visit the Domaine de Bel-Air managed by Romain Desbrosses who offers here his organic Tannay slopes, IGP. 9 ha in total, to which have been added 6 ha of Château Baron in Brinon-sur-Beuvron. Romain works his wines in an artisanal and subtle way, with a great respect for the environment, using only natural organic fertilizers for a better evolution of the soils and the vines. His Tannay slopes are marvelous. His Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Melon de Bourgogne too. Make an appointment because Romain is often in his vineyards!

For generations, the family business has been established on the La Moynerie estate, in the heart of the Pouilly vineyard. From the 40 hectares of vineyards, situated on the hillsides overlooking the Loire, rich and harmonious wines are produced. But the jewel of the vineyard is to be found in the vines planted on the hill of Saint-Andelain, whose clay-siliceous soil gives this minerality to the excellent Pouilly-Fumé. Beautiful vintages and generous wines to discover!

For more than 4 generations, the Dagueneau family has passed on the know-how inherited from their ancestor Léontine. It is the daughters who today perpetuate the traditions while respecting the soil. In addition to the 17 hectares planted on the slopes of Pouilly-sur-Loire and Saint-Andelain, the 2 hectares of Montées de Saint-Lay are also planted. With reasoned farming practices and harmonious blends, their wines display a palette of subtly fruity nuances with complex aromas.

The story begins here in the ^15th century, with a family of Scottish origins and know-how handed down from generation to generation. Today, the estate is run by Juliette d'Assay, and its vineyards are planted with Sauvignon Blanc in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. The vineyards are planted with Sauvignon grapes under the Pouilly-Fumé appellation, and are cultivated in an environmentally-friendly manner, producing wines with a powerful, assertive character that can be found on the region's finest tables. At the heartof this 15-hectare family estate, Annick Tinel carries on a 6-generation tradition. She makes the most of the diversity of her terroirs to produce a range of different wines, all of which are offered as personalized cuvées, such as the highly distinctive Arrêt Buffatte 2007 from old vines. Latest medals won at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2022: silver for the Pouilly-Fumé Arrêt-Buffatte 2021, and another for the Pouilly-Fumé Génetin 2021.

Gérard Grebet and son are the fifth generation of winemakers. The farm is composed of 16 ha and is located in the old village of Les Loges. A detour is required to taste this pouilly.

"Oenology is the art of revealing a terroir" is Alain Cailbourdin's philosophy. Since the creation of his estate, this winegrower has gathered together parcels located on the best slopes of Pouilly-sur-Loire. Of particular note is the cuvée "Triptyque", aged in oak barrels and selected from a 70-year-old parcel in Saint-Andelain. Illustrating the high quality of our wines, they have been listed in the Guide Hachette since... 1994!

Here we arrive at the farm of the lodge, a farm and wine farm. This is how it has been going on for 7 generations. Vines are planted on 2 ha, 30% in chardonnay and 70% in Pinot meunier. The revival of the production of Tannay wines for several years, Jean-Marie Perdikouris's domain has been with quality as a producer collecting wines from Pays's côteaux. Vineyard between the Loire and the Allier, the Domaine de la Perrine spreads over the village of Livry, in the south of the Nièvre. On a surface of 3 ha, the vineyard takes root on clay-limestone soils favourable to an organic viticulture and dominating the Allier Valley. The vines are shared between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and these Nièvre wines are expressed in three colors: "Domaine La Perrine" red, white and rosé. A small vineyard indeed, but with still wines with a strong character and aromas that express themselves with grandeur.

On these 11 hectares, Alexandre Bain cultivates his vines with respect for the terroir, ploughing the soil with his two Percheron horses, and working the vines and wines according to the lunar calendar. This entirely organic production method produces truly authentic wines. These lively, gourmet Sauvignon wines are, according to the most demanding connoisseurs, produced with an absolutely unique aroma, since they belong exclusively to the Alexandre Bain production! Domaine Champeau covers 18 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc vines and 2 hectares of Chasselas. Franck and Guy Champeau, two cousins, are the estate's third-generation winemakers. They offer tastings of their Pouilly-Fumé and Pouilly-sur-Loire wines, as well as sales at the winery. In the small village of Saint-Andelain, opposite the church, the cellar welcomes you in a beautifully renovated barn where wooden beams, an old wine press, a wine rack and winemaker's furniture stand side by side with fine stonework. This estate, now run by Jean-Claude and Vincent Châtelain, has been a winegrower since 1630. 30 ha are cultivated, all in Pouilly Fumé AOC, and spread over 6 of the 7 communes in the appellation. These are Tracy-sur-Loire, Pouilly-sur-Loire, Mesves-sur-Loire, Saint-Andelain, Saint-Laurent-l'Abbaye and Saint-Martin-sur-Nohain. Vinification is carried out on a terroir-by-terroir basis, at constant temperature, to produce wines of consistently high quality. As proof, they can be found on some of the region's finest tables. This estate of 21 ha of vines in AOC Pouilly-Fumé or Sancerre does not stop producing, vintage after vintage, from generation to generation, cuvées that are as pleasant as they are affordable. Many medals at the great national competitions are to be put in the prize list of the domain. Pierre-François and his sister Mélanie, the 7th generation at the head of Domaine Masson-Blondelet, continue this "clean viticulture" initiated by their parents more than 40 years ago. The welcome is warm and professional, and you will be able to taste the nectars directly at the property.

At Domaine Seguin, we use traditional methods of vineyard management and vinification to produce flawless Sauvignon Blanc. What's more, this 20-hectare estate is evenly distributed across the most famous terroirs of Pouilly-Fumé. And if the estate's wines have their French fans, they are also widely exported to our European neighbors, and even to America! The Cuvée Prestige, and especially the oak-aged Cuvée 3, are sure to please your palate. Not forgetting the "Sérénissime" cuvée, aged in amphorae. A real favorite!

Dating back to the early 20th century, Domaine des Fines Caillottes now boasts 42 ha of Sauvignon Blanc and 0.20 ha of Chasselas vines, compared with just 1.2 ha when the family's forefather, Louis Pabiot, worked his vines entirely by hand. The generations of winemakers have followed one another, as have the awards that have highlighted the quality and finesse of this estate's wines.

Founded in 1948 by a handful of winemakers, the Caves of Pouilly offer a wide range of pouilly-fumé, pouilly-sur-Loire and coteaux-du-giennois. 150 acres of clay soil where flint and marl are meeting, Caves of Pouilly produce sauvignon blanc, pinot black and Chasselas. Among the many wines presented, you will appreciate the Tuileries Coteaux-du-Giennois. But the star remains pouilly-fumé several of which several awards came to reward the quality of the homemade nectar.

Coming from a long line of winegrowers, Patrick Coulbois has been established for more than 40 years on the slopes of Saint-Andelain, particularly renowned for their flint clay soil. His vineyard produces wines with a recognised typicity, such as the cuvée "les Cocques", which is particularly representative of the "flint stone" aromas that make up the specificity of the local terroir. The estate has no less than 23 ha of vineyards including 19 acres on the towns of Pouilly Saint-Andelain, and 4 acres on various towns lining Cher.
