DOMAINE CHATELAIN

This estate, now run by Jean-Claude and Vincent Châtelain, has been a winegrower since 1630. 30 ha are cultivated, all in Pouilly Fumé AOC, and spread over 6 of the 7 communes in the appellation. These are Tracy-sur-Loire, Pouilly-sur-Loire, Mesves-sur-Loire, Saint-Andelain, Saint-Laurent-l'Abbaye and Saint-Martin-sur-Nohain. Vinification is carried out on a terroir-by-terroir basis, at constant temperature, to produce wines of consistently high quality. As proof, they can be found on some of the region's finest tables.
