The Barbarela is a traditional "lanchonete" from Foz de Iguaçu that offers a wide variety of fruit juices and sandwiches. Josiane runs her shop with professionalism and attention and does everything to satisfy her customers, even if they are often tourists... We come here to taste açai, "vitaminas", queijo breads, ciabatas (with cheese and turkey for example) or sorbets. Ideally located in the center of Foz, on Brasil Avenue, it is a good option for a quick lunch. Free wifi.

Another good "mineira" surprise. This restaurant fitted out by the owners Luis and Sergio, in a colonial house in the center of Iguaçu is an excellent surprise. The dishes for once are individual, but cheaper than elsewhere, and original, offering inventive cuisine. Starters, desserts and cocktails are not to be outdone. Remember to book in the evening, as the establishment is always full. Originality of the place which is reminiscent of Ouro Preto where the cafes are also antique shops, the decorative objects are for sale!

This restaurant is an attraction in itself and can accommodate up to 4,600 people! It is the largest restaurant in Latin America. Its reputation is not only linked to its size. For the past 30 years, Mrs. Madalosso has always been in charge of the stoves of her eponymous restaurant, fortunately not alone. Her cuisine honours the Italy of her origins! All the customers are entitled to the same dishes served at the table in rodizio: fried polenta, chicken, risotto, salads, gnocchi, lasagne, rondeli, etc. A place not to be missed in Curitiba.

Quintana Café is a traditional, welcoming Curitiba establishment that reflects the people of Paraná's capital. Spearheading local cultural eco-gastronomy. With poems and books scattered around the house, the chef and owner pays homage to gaucho poet Mario Quintana. At the central buffet, the influences are diverse. Mediterranean, Northern European, local and Asian cuisine, depending on the day of the week. Ingredients are organic, fresh and local.

Like the confeitaria das familias, the churrascaria Ervin is a traditional house of grill specialities in the city centre. It's a good option for eating good meat at very affordable prices. Some dishes are prepared for two or three people, others are individual. The choice is certainly more limited than in some churrascarias, but the four types of meat on offer are undoubtedly among the best in Curitiba. The PF does not advocate the consumption of meat, but meat lovers will find their way around.

The restaurant works in the green setting of the Astral da Ilha. Seafood, light dishes, sushi, sashimis, original fruit juices and cocktails make up the map.

Opened in 2017, this restaurant-bar has quickly established itself as an essential part of Foz's gastronomy. In a sober and elegant setting of brick and wood, people often come here to taste the meat. The picanha and T-Bone are in the spotlight and meat lovers are in favour of the Bendito, but vegetarians and fish lovers (try the bacalhau) will find their happiness here. The Saturday feijoada, buffets, accompanied by cocktails with or without alcohol, Argentinean or Italian beers or wines complete a varied offer of quality.

In a small pink house, this restaurant, with a little retro inspiration, has become a reference to Foz de Iguaçu. It offers quality Italian cuisine, with of course pizzas and pasta, gnocchi, lasagne. The typical dessert is sagu with cream, imported to southern Brazil by Italian immigrants. We often speak of "canteen", but here we must find a noble meaning. It is indeed a place where you come to eat frequently, and at a fair price. Cachaca is offered for digestion.

The Chef Lopez buffet restaurant has changed its location. It is now in the Catuai shopping center, but the ingredients that made it successful have not changed. Chef Lopes is a good restaurant where the meat pieces are served in the best Brazilian style. At lunchtime, the buffet is good and fairly cheap. The house risottos also attract gourmets. An effort is made to make the dishes as good for the palate as for the eyes. Simple and sophisticated, this is definitely a good value for money establishment.

The Lebanese restaurant "Castelo Libanes" honors Lebanese and Arabic cuisine. In a sober and pleasant setting, the menu offers the classics of Middle Eastern cuisine. Hummus, kibe, kebab, baba ganoush, esfihas (meat skewers) allow the guests to know some of the specialties of the cedar country, where we meet in a friendly atmosphere tourists, members of the Arab and Lebanese community of Foz, and regulars. A place to know in this multicultural city. Marhabaan!

"The place" maybe for cheap and good food on Foz. At the Barracao you will find a very good value for money buffet, with dozens of cold and hot dishes offered to guests. It's a little piece of Minas Gerais in paranoiac land. Some dishes are proposed à la carte. Dona Izabel has been cooking for almost 40 years in this soberly decorated but delicately decorated restaurant. The last but not the least, the barracao happy hour recently opened right across the street and is becoming one of the must-see places in Foz.
