Founded in 1958, Curitiba's central market is certainly the most pleasant place to shop like a true curitibense. Its blend of French, Italian and Brazilian cuisines and its creativity make it one of the best restaurants in the city. Good wine card.

In a very cosy setting, this international restaurant is regularly honored as one of the best tables of Slavic cuisine in all of Brazil. The restaurant serves very good cuisine based on recipes from Ukraine, Poland and Russia. Try borscht as a starter (beetroot soup with pork chops), then platzki (potato pancakes). The Slavic banquet (R$ 120) gives a gastronomic insight into Slavic cuisine (plaztki, holopti, filet mignon, Russian salad... of course). A good overview of the diversity of Curitiba.

Good restaurant with regional cuisine. You can enjoy the traditional barreado in a pleasant setting: tables in the garden and on the terrace, surrounded by trees. The library in the dining room of the restaurant reminds us that we are in the owner's house. The atmosphere is familiar, as are the dishes served at the table, but the service is very professional. While barreado is popular in the region and beyond, those who wish to enjoy fish or seafood in the caiçara style will not be outdone. Excellent maracujá desserts.

Chief Pedro Pedro has been in the piano of his Italian restaurant for 18 years in a slightly rustic setting. The thematic map (Arabic, Japanese, Italian) varies daily. Live music on weekends. Good and cheap. You can even take cooking courses there.

Another good "mineira" surprise. This restaurant fitted out by the owners Luis and Sergio, in a colonial house in the center of Iguaçu is an excellent surprise. The dishes for once are individual, but cheaper than elsewhere, and original, offering inventive cuisine. Starters, desserts and cocktails are not to be outdone. Remember to book in the evening, as the establishment is always full. Originality of the place which is reminiscent of Ouro Preto where the cafes are also antique shops, the decorative objects are for sale!

This small restaurant open only for lunch has as a concept to propose healthy and appetizing products. Major allergens are carefully avoided. The dishes of the day (pasta, sweet and savoury pastries, soups) are made from vegetables, meats and fish cooked to perfection, finely prepared, all at floor prices. Almost all the ingredients are organically grown. A great address where you can also enjoy a good breakfast, fresh fruit juice or cupcakes

This restaurant is an attraction in itself and can accommodate up to 4,600 people! It is the largest restaurant in Latin America. Its reputation is not only linked to its size. For the past 30 years, Mrs. Madalosso has always been in charge of the stoves of her eponymous restaurant, fortunately not alone. Her cuisine honours the Italy of her origins! All the customers are entitled to the same dishes served at the table in rodizio: fried polenta, chicken, risotto, salads, gnocchi, lasagne, rondeli, etc. A place not to be missed in Curitiba.

Quintana Café is a traditional, welcoming Curitiba establishment that reflects the people of Paraná's capital. Spearheading local cultural eco-gastronomy. With poems and books scattered around the house, the chef and owner pays homage to gaucho poet Mario Quintana. At the central buffet, the influences are diverse. Mediterranean, Northern European, local and Asian cuisine, depending on the day of the week. Ingredients are organic, fresh and local.

Opened in 2017, this restaurant-bar has quickly established itself as an essential part of Foz's gastronomy. In a sober and elegant setting of brick and wood, people often come here to taste the meat. The picanha and T-Bone are in the spotlight and meat lovers are in favour of the Bendito, but vegetarians and fish lovers (try the bacalhau) will find their happiness here. The Saturday feijoada, buffets, accompanied by cocktails with or without alcohol, Argentinean or Italian beers or wines complete a varied offer of quality.

In a small pink house, this restaurant, with a little retro inspiration, has become a reference to Foz de Iguaçu. It offers quality Italian cuisine, with of course pizzas and pasta, gnocchi, lasagne. The typical dessert is sagu with cream, imported to southern Brazil by Italian immigrants. We often speak of "canteen", but here we must find a noble meaning.
