The association La Mancha lives up to its name: it is, literally, the Norman friendship movement for Spanish-American culture. FESTIVAL VIA AETERNA

Events

Every year, in early October, the Via Aeterna festival takes place in the unique setting of Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay. La Traversée de l'île de Tatihou / La course du Run

The department's biggest and most prestigious tennis tournament takes place every year in Cherbourg! The challenger, as it's called, takes place every year at the end of winter at the Chantereyne complex. Launched in 1994 as an ATP-certified indoor hard-court event with tens of thousands of euros in prize money, it has seen some of the biggest names in French and world tennis pass through its doors, from Rafael Nadal at the dawn of his incredible career to Novak Djokovic. On the French side, Tsonga, Grosjean, Clément and Simon have all hit the Cotentin ball.
