LA RAFALE

Bar and caf
5/5
1 review

Managed by Hugo, La Rafale, a charming bar located on a small square in the upper town, is a fine example of what a place like this should be: a lively place where there's always something going on, and where you're greeted with a smile. In addition to the delicious house-arranged rums, there's also a beer cellar (open Wednesday to Sunday), inviting you to discover dozens of red, white and blond beers! You can also attend matches or beautiful exhibitions.

LE BAR DU CASINO DE SAINT-PAIR

Casino

1 review

The Saint-Pair Casino is a multi-faceted place. Recently given a facelift, it's a pleasant place with a breathtaking view of the sea. Upstairs, slot machines, Black Jack and electronic English roulette with a cosy bar. On the first floor, a restaurant, a bar and above all a terrace with a breathtaking view of the sea, Granville, Cancale and Chausey on the horizon! And don't forget the magnificent sunsets from the terrace.

AU GRENIER

Neighborhood bar
4.8/5
25 reviews

As we said, it's a great little traditional restaurant, offering simple, effective dishes at very affordable prices, between Granville and Avranches. But that's not all: at Le Grenier, you'll also find a very practical convenience store with a wide range of opening hours, from Tuesday to Sunday inclusive! You'll find everything you need from groceries to newspapers, without having to go to the big shopping centers nearby. We approve!

AU CAFÉ POMPON

Coffee shop and tea room
3.8/5
33 reviews

The place is impossible to miss, located right in the city centre. Café Pompon is certainly one of the best tea rooms in the city and also offers a very popular lunchtime catering service, mainly with quiches and salads: it's good, it's fresh and full of flavour. And if you see a lot of people coming and going during your time here, it's only natural, because Café Pompon also offers delicious pastries, including the famous "cake pompon": a lemon cake whose recipe is jealously guarded.

DADAWA

Bar and caf
5/5
1 review

In the narrow, pedestrian Rue des Fossés, well known to night owls, lies this reggae, ragga and hip-hop-oriented venue, frequented by a clientele of regulars, many of them young! Atmosphere guaranteed, with tropical rums and beers at the heart of a well-thought-out, highly professional offering. The music is in tune with the atmosphere, and the place often hosts great painting exhibitions. There's no denying that this establishment has become one of Cherbourg's must-visit nightspots in just a few years!

Beautiful green and violet colors, a trendy decoration. The reference shop for tea lovers. Theodor" tea of course! They come from India, China, Nepal, Ceylon... They are green, black, white... You'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to flavour. An ice cream menu in summer, freshly squeezed fruit juices, all accompanied by homemade pastries, you will have a good time. For the restaurant part, a slate which changes every day, according to the market: with the choice, omelets, pies and a dish of the day.

CGR CHERBOURG ODÉON

Cinema
5/5
1 review

Taken over by the CGR group, which already has a multiplex near the Cité de la Mer, the Odeon cinema is located in the heart of the city, almost opposite the swing bridge and the commercial basin. Recently renovated, with 5 beautiful rooms for a total of 1,025 seats, it offers a program ranging from mainstream films to more intimate feature films. This cinema, with its stormy history, often threatened with closure, has thus become once again one of the must-see places for the city's moviegoers. We highly recommend this nice place!

LE CARRÉ

Bar and caf
5/5
1 review

More of a snack than a restaurant, the place offers hot or cold sandwiches, salads, croques, for modest prices. Most of the products are fresh and when they are frozen (which is the case for a very small part), we tell you: something rare enough to be noticed! In addition to the low prices, the welcome is energetic and efficient. And what a pleasure to have lunch on the terrace, in this car-free zone, enjoying the view of the city! Conclusion: a good plan, efficient, cheap and which will give you full satisfaction.

VOUS NE PASSEREZ PAS ! ESCAPE GAME

Escape game
5/5
1 review

At this address was previously located the escape game of the toy store located a few numbers down. Now, it is still an escape game but managed by another team. You are given sixty minutes, and not one more, to get out of a room, obviously closed. Of course, we can't tell you anything here, except maybe that you'll be in the middle of a kidnapping story, and that you'll need patience, brains and a great team spirit to get out of it.

JACK AND CO

Neighborhood bar
5/5
1 review

This nice place is located in the heart of the small village of Tirepied, and is the main place of animation. The conviviality is there, and Jack and Co propose to come and have a drink (or several, but with moderation!) in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Here, the concerts follow one another, with a lot of local bands with a predominance for rock. You can also enjoy one of the small dishes offered by the house, or by going to the truck often parked in the parking lot for excellent burgers!

LE POULAILLER

Bar and caf
5/5
1 review

A nice little bistro, where you are warm in winter (the main street of Coutances, on the hill, is rather windy), and which has a nice terrace overlooking this busy street in summer. A nice choice of beers, a warm and wooded interior (you will find a decoration that will allow you to understand the name of the place) where you will find many small round tables, it is the ideal place for a small stopover. The regulars are the most numerous, so you will be here real Coutançais!

Regularly, actors and actresses come here for promotion. Finally, note that you can also reserve your seats on the website, and that parking is easy and fast: practical!

BAR DU PORT

Take the helm and cast off! A counter in the shape of a ship's bow with ropes: hold on to the ends if you feel like you're pitching! The Bar du Port transports you to a marine world in the heart of a pub-style establishment. The wood blends with the exposed stone walls... The rounded red benches ensure comfort and intimacy in this setting where you can enjoy a hot drink in winter or an aperitif as the evening approaches... In summer, you can enjoy the sunny deck of the ship! A nice place.

L'ELDORADO

Beer bar
4/5

L'Eldorado is an innovative bar that brews its own beer, in a choice of blond, white or brown. The establishment offers a wide range of beers from all over the world, as well as numerous whiskies. It also has its own microbrewery. A must for all beer lovers. Last but not least, the place has billiards tables, which stretch along the vast bay window, and is very popular with the young people of Cherbourg. The atmosphere is lively, especially at weekends: not to be missed!

LE CHAUDRON BAVEUR

Bar and caf
4/5
1 review

If the name is reminiscent of a famous film, the interior is quite different, except for a few subtle reminders. There's no cauldron here, just a vast choice of beers and drinks created on the premises - starting with some excellent arranged rums - in a very urban atmosphere, with warm red bricks and wood, right in the heart of downtown Cotentin. It's a lively, friendly place, and we heartily recommend a visit, preferably with friends!

You can have a drink here, but above all you can dance! In Lessay's industrial zone, dance fans know this great address well! From the outside, with its wooden cladding and saloon-door entrance, you're right in the mood! Country music of course, but not only, but also French songs, disco, in short, the must-haves and the sure-fire favourites!
