This shortbread tart, filled with a brunoise of fruit paste and hazelnut cream, is topped with white chocolate ganache and applesauce. New in 2023, we double the pleasure with the opening of a second boutique on rue Froide. We choose this house for special occasions, or for a little comfort after a long day! ! These puffs are real jewels, renewed according to the occasions by relying on seasonal products. You can also buy some revisited sweets (caramel marshmallow bears, eclairs, Saint-Honoré) but also adorable mini choux, magnificent entremets or salted choux for your aperitifs, or even enjoy a hot chocolate on the spot.

D'oh! Donuts in Normandy! Yes, but compared to Homer Simpson's, these are artisanal and vegan friendly! No lactose, no eggs, organic, local, made on site by Melissande, natural flavors and lots of deliciousness! On the menu, over twenty flavors (chocolate, sugar, apple cinnamon, cookie cream, choco crunch...) and seasonal recipes to keep an eye on on social networks. Top it all off with savoury recipes and disco balls (bite-sized snacks you can nibble on with your eyes closed), and you've got it all!

Year after year, Rémi Chapuis' patisserie-chocolaterie remains a favourite. With your senses on alert, you wander around the store with one fixed idea in mind: try everything! You'll have to choose between the éclairs or the margaux, the macarons or the praline rochers, the chocolates with fragrant ganaches or Guillaume's Conquest, THE house specialty. Hard work! But the smile and welcome of Sandrine, the owner, and the certainty of coming back make the ordeal surmountable.

Since 2018, Tiphaine and Stéphane's chocolate shop has been located in the town of Ouistreham. With your nose glued to the window, you give in to temptation: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, garnished chocolate... The range, made with Valrhona - the professional brand - and grands crus (pure Brazil, pure Madagascar), includes a variety of creations (mendiants, roses des sables, lollipops, tablettes, orangettes) and confectionery (fruit jellies, caramels, marshmallows). In addition to the chocolates, gourmets will also fall for the fine pastries.

While the store on Rue Saint-Jean is more centrally located, it doesn't have a bakery (yum... lemon or chocolate cake!), nor any delicious savoury treats. But the sweets it does offer - chocolates and, more specifically, macarons (veritable culinary masterpieces) - are just as fabulous as those on Boulevard Yves-Guillou. In summer, we love the ultra-gourmet, refreshing pots glacés. As for the pastries, they're an ode to the sublime and to gourmandise, and we're particularly enamoured of the lemon meringue tart. It's a no-brainer.

If you're one of those who are looking for the best pastry and chocolate maker when you arrive in a city, then Roussel's is the place to be. Roussel, formerly Radiguet, as the store's sign still emphasises. There, you will discover pistachio tarts, chocolate shortbread, unpublished galettes des Rois, and swooning marrons glacés. And all this has been served for over 20 years with a smile and the delicacy of yesteryear. To take away or to taste on the spot, Roussel also makes a tea room. Don't miss the strawberry tart or the Robinson with chestnut cream, a speciality on demand! So yes, if you're a gourmet, Roussel's is the place to go.

Here's a bakery that is smart! From its easily accessible location, its parking right in front of the store, its opening times and especially its baked breads with wood fire, sandwiches, pastries, and other small salted or sweetened ovens. Not to mention the pizzas that can be ordered at midday and evening at the Caen boutique (only at noon in Hérouville). Personally, we admit a weakness for the Indian sandwich (traditional baguette, chicken, curry, dried tomatoes), whole grain stick whose inimitable taste lingers in the mouth, salted butter caramel crème brûlée (what a delight!) and for macaroons... Others, like the world's great, have trusted Olivier Hamelin, an outstanding baker and owner of Baker, to treat their bread with cider during the celebration of the 70^th anniversary of the landing. Respect!

When you enter this boutique, a benchmark established in 1978, you're greeted by the sweet smell of yesteryear... All the pastries and confectionery you can imagine. On the shelves, nothing but goodness and quality. A well-known and recognised pastry and chocolate shop, where the Easter and Christmas transitions are brilliantly staged. We also love the candy aisle, where you can rediscover candy canes. Don't leave without the famous Houlgatais (large or small), the house speciality, a perfect blend of meringue and old-fashioned praline. It's all we can say!

"It's a beautiful novel, it's a beautiful story". La Biscuiterie was born in Caen in 1850, and almost disappeared. And now, since 2017, it's been labelled a "Living Heritage Company". Les Jeannette are nationally renowned, a fine renaissance and recognition! Madeleines are traditionally made in Colombelles, using fresh, preservative-free ingredients. From the original taste of Isigny PDO butter to the more exotic organic version, the madeleine has undoubtedly made a place for itself in the Normandy sun!

Quentin Rambaud, a young 24-year-old pastry chef, has opened this tempting store. Here, it's a return to simplicity, no more fuss and too many ingredients. No more than three flavours in his cakes and it's perfect. We like the Paris-Caen, which made the success of the address, a gourmet alliance between the macaroon and the famous Paris-Brest. The Pavlova and the Madagascar vanilla flan are sweets to be tested urgently! We also like the fast execution of orders and the idea that in the nice days the ice creams will be part of the party!

On the shopping street of Général-de-Gaulle, opposite the town hall and the Villers market, this bakery-pastry shop, which was taken over in April 2021, continues to attract a regular clientele. People still come here for the varied traditional breads, the croutons for its fish soup, and the crispy baguette, called "la Villersoise". The address plays the good classic, just like the pastries: Paris-Brest, flan, meringue, nun... Without forgetting the window dedicated to the creations of Michel Cluizel, famous chocolate maker settled in Damville since 1948.

Behind Les Douceurs de la Louve, Caroline, who after training at Alban Guilmet, Vert Framboise, Aux P'tites Douceurs or Carbonne decided to create her own business. CAP in her pocket, passionate and really gifted with her hands, she specialised in cake design and number cake, these very elaborate cakes with a lot of decorations for the pleasure of the eyes and the taste buds! Go and see the pictures of her beautiful creations, it will whet your appetite. All you have to do is place an order or go to her lab for a gourmet workshop!

This story is as tasty as her creations. Audrey, a former nurse, swapped her lab coat for a spatula to become a pastry chef. Here, freshness is king! No freezing, no stock! She offers her creations to order via her social networks.
