What was only a cenote planted in the middle of nature until 2015 is a kind of activity park that includes a tyrolean that allows for water, walking, bicycle or quad.

These are the depths of the forest, where you will discover how to survive thanks to edible plants and waterlogged vines, but you will be very comfortably housed in the evening. Here, we do everything with the people of the community, we discover their craft, medicinal and spiritual activities (traditional ceremony), the work of gum (chicle) or pineapple, local history and we can even swim in a cenote. Near the beautiful Chichankanab lagoon, this is a place of forest with 90 species of birds, where you can take beautiful bike rides before heading to the Cueva de las Serpientes Colgantes at dusk.

It is a cave with an underground river, inhabited by thousands of bats. But not only...... Snakes (not poisonous) are indeed hung on the rocks of the ceiling, and make a feast of bats when they come out of their hiding place at nightfall. A vibrant and unforgettable experience.... In the depths of the cave, marine fauna fossils can also be found, dating back to the time when the region was submerged under ocean waters millions of years ago.

Our favorite of all the cenotes. It is a semi-open cenote, 25 metres long by 15 metres wide, which is partially covered by a cave, but where daylight enters, allowing the transparency of the water to be seen. One of the strong points of the cenote is that birds fly between the stalactites, and that the water depth in some places reaches 50 meters. You can also dive with a tank in the cenote, as there is an underwater tunnel that leads to a nearby cave.

This is an ideal visit for culture lovers from elsewhere, to discover the knowledge of traditional medicine, the culture of melipona honey, artisanal techniques (henequén strings) and artistic techniques (traditional clothes and symbolism). It is also possible to visit the azul lagoon and climb the observation tower to wait for the birds, all guided by the inhabitants of the community.

Pleasant visits by this ecotourism centre, whose name still evokes the endless struggle of the Mayan peoples over the past five centuries: "the path to seek our existence". It is located in the heart of one of the oldest villages in the region, known to be one of the cradles of the Mayan revolt during the War of the Castes which broke out in 1847. Here you can visit the imposing ruins of the Templo del Santo Niño de Jesus, before going to the beautiful Museo de la Guerra de Castas. To be combined with the discovery of local perennial culture: traditional medicine, music, bird watching, etc.

An ecotourism centre nicely located along this deep blue lagoon (Laguna Ocom) in the middle of the jungle. There are small marked trails to stretch your legs and even a bird-watching tower. To further explore this nature reserve called Much Kaanan K'aax, which includes no less than seven lagoons, there is nothing like riding a bike. Ideal to recharge your batteries or for a family stay.

Ideal for children, who enjoy the inflatable and floating playground by the sea. For parents who wait gently, it's frankly not bad either....

The Muyil pier is located on the edge of the small lagoon of the same name. Here await the fishing boats, ready to take you to discover the local attractions.

The first of these consists in crossing a small canal to reach the much larger Chunayaxché Lagoon. We cross it and then the boat drops you off at the edge of an artificial canal dug by the Mayans; here we set foot on land and discover the ruins of what was supposed to be an ancient Mayan customs. We put on life jackets and dive into the water to let the current carry us for one or two kilometres. Those who have chosen the shorter excursion option then turn around.

The others continue their journey through canals and mangroves to the very large Capelchen lagoon, where you are taken for a short walk to observe manatees (if you are lucky) and birds, then dock at Boca de Paila, where you have the opportunity to spend some time on the beach before returning as quickly as you arrived.
