A large colonial house housing a collection dedicated to Mexican folk art, with a total of 3,000 pieces

Casa de Los Venados, the Deer House, is a colonial building owned by North American couple John and Dorianne Venator. The private property houses a handicraft collection dedicated to Mexican folk art, comprising over 3,000 pieces in all.

There are no showcases here: the works have taken over every nook and cranny of the house... even the bathroom. Art is integrated into daily life. An immersive and astonishing visit, in the heart of an inhabited place. Guided tours are organized by the couple in Spanish and English, without reservation.
