A well-known local cheesemaker, Christian Willen sells his products at the Riponne market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Under the blue-and-white striped awning, you'll find nothing but homemade products, with specialties in Gruyère and semi-hard cheeses. These include etivaz and sheep's milk cheeses, as well as a few French classics. The Ticino tomme is excellent. Next door to Willen on the square, another affineur, Jacques Duttweiler, one of the most sought-after cheesemakers among chefs, offers a caramelized Gruyère that has even been "patented".

The quality of Swiss cheese on the stalls of the covered market at Les Halles des Rive. The choice is vast, with more than 300 varieties of cheese varying according to the seasons and arrivals and coming from all over the world thanks to the collaboration of Dominique and Carole Ryser with Hervé Mons, best worker of France in Roanne. You can thus taste farmhouse cheddar or Portuguese or Spanish cheeses... It is even possible to have your cheese truffled! Of course, Swiss cheeses are in the spotlight: Gruyère cheese from the mountain pastures (24 months old), mountain pastures from Valais and Ticino, a large choice of blue cheese, home-ripened Vacherin Mont-d'Or. And more cheeses: Fribourg vacherin, fondue mixes or a creamy raclette cheese to be vacuum-packed for travellers. Crème de gruyère and the famous Bruand raclette cheese are popular all year round. The house delivers to your home in Geneva. A second address delights the taste buds of the inhabitants of Vesenaz, located 7 km from Geneva in the direction of Thonon. The only thing missing is a French baguette and a good Swiss wine to enjoy a delicious moment!
