The best restaurants Mercantour

As its name indicates, we ski, we do not déchausse but we eat, quickly done well done a chiffonnade of ham, chicken, andouillettes or other Savoyard dishes. We finish with a waffle and it's gone! No worries for the dishes it is disposable, so it goes even faster. The summer is also the mountain cuisine that awaits you, and why not one is there too.

Located just opposite the Pont Vieux, on the boulevard along the Bévéra river, this hostel was taken over in 2018. It is a small family home, in which the owner simply welcomes. It offers its crepes in a "tea room" formula. The establishment is also a hotel.

Restaurant located in the heart of the village with two pretty rooms and two pleasant terraces, one in the pedestrian street with a stream, the other with a view of the valley of the Madonna des Fenestres, shaded in summer by a century-old vine arbour. Excellent traditional cuisine with a choice of traditional dishes. Fresh fish every day, to note because it is rather rare in the mountains. Homemade specialities: duck foie gras and all desserts.... In the evening, pizzas over a wood fire. A friendly address where Rose and Patrick have been welcoming us warmly for some 25 years! High quality meal with a reasonable addition.

Not so small that! With his home kitchen and a very nice welcome, Lou Pitchoun has a great attraction. The card is very effective and everyone will find its own delight among salads, burgers, bruschettas and black wheat patties. Petit Smart has been tried by a Alpine Alpine with bacon cubes, cru ham, reblochon, onions and fresh Cream. The decoration is generous and the ingredients of quality are served with a green salad. You will come back to test the Burger Pitchoun with steak, raw ham, goat and honey that had the delicious air on the nearby table…

You can access L'Epicerie du Mercantour by a small alleyway that leads up to a small square in the centre of the village. This grocery store, which belongs to the municipality, offers basic products, but it is also a tobacco shop, a green dot and a bread depot. Claire, who runs the place, also offers fast food, sandwiches, pizzas, paninis, welcome especially for hikers.

This inn is in Roubion, in the heart of the Mercantour National Park and close to the Valberg ski area. Manu and Marie-France offer old-fashioned gourmet cuisine on a woodfire…all based on local products. What more could you ask for? Maybe, the pastries and the homemade bread that you will not be able to resist.
