The best Greek restaurants Route de la soie

Rather unexpected as a location for one of the very few Greek restaurants in the city, but we like to get together in the evening, sitting on the terrace near the station of Brotteaux to enjoy the sun-drenched specialities with friends. In a decor dominated by the blue and the Ancient frescoes, we let ourselves be driven on the coasts of the Mediterranean to enjoy the best of the Greek and Cretan cuisine. All the specialities are homemade and prepared with olive oil that is beneficial for the health. With a bit of luck, you can dine to the sound of a folk orchestra and dance the sirtaki around the tables. For a first approach of this cuisine more diverse than it would seem, Futé recommend the tasting menu at €22.50 with its plate of starters, then a famous moussaka, the national dish. But you have to return quickly to enjoy the squid stuffed with spinach, fillets of red mullet with olive oil and rosemary or pork sausages, red and green peppers, onions and tomato sauce, without missing the youvetsi moshari, this beef with tomato, or the grilled lamb chop with herbs... We always keep a place for a fabulous yoghurt with honey and nuts or a baklava. A definitively divine place.

A small street-food shop that offers Greek specialties such as souvlaki, gyros or moussaka. Kalapà is also famous in the neighborhood for its kumpirs, potatoes filled with typical Greek ingredients such as feta cheese but also Italian (pancetta, speck, gorgonzola...). A successful marriage between two Mediterranean cuisines! We particularly like the vegetarian gyros pita which can be served with feta or provoline affumicate, an Italian smoked cheese.

Feyrouz is in essence a matriarchal expression. Lebanese-inspired and Mediterranean-influenced, the restaurant serves traditional Lebanese dishes, revisited. Elegant and refined, the restaurant, which has another restaurant in Thessaloniki, is named after the famous Lebanese diva Fairouz. Amazingly, the owner's musician grandfather, herself named Feyrouz, is said to have played with the singer in her day. The restaurant is therefore a great feminine story, and it is carried by a talented chef.

A mezzedopoleio in the center of the city that has been bringing Athenians together for more than 25 years to enjoy the delicious dishes of traditional Greek cuisine and top quality fish and seafood. A popular meeting point for aperitif dinners that last until midnight, the establishment is sometimes full as early as 11:30. It is therefore advisable to make reservations before going there. Ideal for a break after visiting the archaeological museum, a few meters away. Dishes for vegetarians. Excellent value for money.
