Tavern in Athens offering fried cod, squid, shrimps and grilled meat.

The Damigos tavern, known as Ta bakaliarakia, is the oldest and most authentic in Athens. Founded in 1865, it owes its fame to Damigos, who made it a true institution. Nowadays, the fourth generation of the owners continues the tradition and remains faithful to the quality of the products. Hidden in the basement of a house in Plaka, its specialty is fried cod with aioli. Excellent squid, shrimp, grilled meats and stews are also served. An address that is worth a visit.

La cuisine est bonne quoi que servi très rapidement : l'entrée est servi en même temps que le plat principal. Il nous ont conseiller un vin de Crète très bien à un prix raisonnable (20 €) et en plus le soir nous avons eut droit à un mini concert en terrasse de musique traditionnelle greque
