Karine is cheerful and friendly. She always has a smile on her face, and invites us to taste her unusual cheeses, selected from the cellars of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France cheese-makers. The cheeses here are farmhouse, organic and artisanal. Our flagship product: Comté, matured for 18 months, a pure delight, a taste rediscovered. But let's not forget the reblochons, the goat cheeses, the classics, the inventives, the truffles for the festive season and the excellent beurre de baratte. Karine creates cheese platters to order.

A passionate oyster farmer based in the small port of La Barbotière in Gujan-Mestras and working in the traditional way, Frédéric Paillère, a former agricultural engineer and production consultant, collects the spat, raises his oysters, sells them retail, wholesale and ships them all over France. His oysters are soft and fleshy, a real pleasure for the taste buds of oyster lovers. You can find Frédéric Paillère and his good oysters every Sunday in Lacanau town.

Jérôme Dohet produces a delicious nectar on a 1.3-ha vineyard. Here grape harvest is manual and in small crates. The bunches of grapes have previously been deleafed and selected, arranged and thinned after months of ripening. Do not miss the authentic 1904 press. Small originality: The owner will make you taste his wine in the cellar, where wonderful sculptures keep the barrels. White plaster busts of 1863, and animal representations produced by a friend of the family who comes from Australia. Kangaroo, elephant, bull, cockerel, wild boar, and crocodile will keep you company during tasting.

Why not taste the honey of the Landes forest? With its idyllic location, the honey house is in the middle of a pine forest surrounded by heather. The apiaries are spread out between the forest of the Haute-Lande and the mountains of the Pyrenees, on a naturally abundant and preserved vegetation. The bees first gather in the acacia woods in the Gironde, then disperse to harvest a wonderful bourdaine honey in the humid areas of the Landes forest, while others gather chestnut or lime flowers in the Pyrenees.

A gourmet institution created in 1890, this cosy store with old-fashioned displays, gleaming brass and crystal chandeliers is an invitation to discover a wide choice of specialities: gourmet bar, chocolate candy, turrón and Bayonne macaroon! Here, we love the great vintages with always the same chocolate signature: power, length in the mouth, delicacy of aromatic combinations. The almond pastes are "fresh", a rarity. Les Halles de Saint-Jean-de-Luz is the lungs of the town. The real gastronomic hive is at dawn, when a ballet of deliverymen, market gardeners, fishmongers, butchers, creameries, wine merchants, bakers and others, bustle about to present the very best. This mini "Rungis" has been an institution since 1884, and has successfully adapted to the latest fashions. This Bayonne gourmet institution has also been in Biarritz since 1930, in an art deco setting (Avenue Foch) and in the Saint-Charles district in a more contemporary store. Here, we love the grands crus with the same chocolate signature: strength, length on the palate, finesse in aromatic combinations. The marzipan is fresh, a rarity. Ramuncho Pochelu was the creator of piments and he wanted to imagine this workshop, a dozen years ago because he had to share his passion, "the greatest wealth… " he commented. In situ, it started by climbing a labyrinth of piments with a game "the game of Ramuncho" what immediately seduced parents and children who can receive, the diploma of Petit Pimentier. This small artisan patisserie, run by the same family for 6 generations (established in 1876), is an excellent address in the Basque Country. It's famous for its Basque cake and shortbread (including the famous pig-shaped shortbread). Black cherry or cream, there's something for everyone; it's impossible to remain insensitive to these sweet delights. It's these unique creations that have made the House famous, and the know-how has been handed down from generation to generation. People come from far and wide for these gourmet specialties.

Bordeaux rhymes with cannelé! You're no doubt familiar with this emblematic caramelized cake with a soft center, flavored with rum and vanilla. Here, you can watch them being made in the famous "cannelé" copper molds from which they take their name. The house of the glacier Ô Sorbet d'Amour is an institution which was created in 1935 on the basin of Arcachon. The first shop opened in Moulleau on the promenade of the pier. Since then, the brand has developed many addresses in Bordeaux, Gironde, and a few franchises in France, Portugal and Spain. The 80 gourmet recipes are still made in the traditional way: the milk is supplied by the last farm in the Arcachon basin and then transformed in an artisanal way with fruit and high quality ingredients in the La Teste laboratory, the ice creams and sorbets with a thousand and one flavours are often very original such as chocolate Espelette pepper, macadamia maple, lemon basil, blood orange, peanut croostie and even kiwi vegan apple with no added sugar. The nougatine-based iced desserts are also home-made, such as the famous Pinasse and its 30 scoops of ice cream for 15 people, the emblematic dessert of the Ô Sorbet d'Amour ice-cream parlour.

Les Gourmandises d'Aliénor, located in La Teste-de-Buch, near the Bassin d'Arcachon and the Dune du Pilat, invites you to immerse yourself in the world of chocolate. They produce traditional French fine chocolates with 74% pure cocoa. When you visit their workshop, you'll discover the fascinating history of chocolate, from its discovery by the Conquistadors in 1492 to its cultivation around the tropical belt in America, Africa and Asia. You'll watch chocolatiers work this noble material with passion, while tasting their delicious treats. This is your chance to discover the secrets of chocolate.

This château, built in 1598 and owned by the Annereau family since 1390, tells a wonderful story. The owner, Dominique Hessel, has never ceased to pursue the work he has begun. After obtaining "Agriculture Raisonnée" certification in 2005, conversion to organic farming was undertaken in 2007 (ECOCERT certification). The château was certified B Corp in October 2023. The three wines to discover are the Grand Vin Château des Annereaux, Château des Biscarrats and the Bordeaux wine l'Ane mort.

Whereas in the past the estate consisted of just two vineyards, today it covers almost 100 hectares of south-facing land. Thanks to their hard work, the Lévêque family has developed a real know-how based on both tradition and innovation. Their oak barrels produce AOC Graves red and white wines of European and even worldwide renown. Don't hesitate to meet this family and share their passion during a visit and tasting session. At Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac castle, you will find all the wines of the Dourthe vineyards, champagnes Thienot, Canard-Duchêne and Joseph Perrier, but especially for enthusiasts, rare Grands Crus and vintages. We like the young and professional team that is available to lavish us on the best advice. Tasting workshops to explore various wines and terroirs are regularly organized, from the simplest to the most complex, for novices and for amateurs. By visiting the cellars, you can discover that everything here is done by hand, from grape harvests to the sorting. The 15 hectares of vineyards are treated without insecticides, vine population is from 65% merlot and 35% franc cabernet. The stainless vats mix with the older vats made of cement and wood. 80,000 bottles are produced here every year. Their cellar, sober and classy, beautifully enhance their wines. La Cave Dourthe is perfect for all those who are interested in wine, in order to share a common passion. The cellar has a private tasting room in its floors.

In the ^19th century, these macaroons were traditionally served as a dessert after a meal accompanied by the famous Saint-Emilion wine. The macaroons made by the widow Goudichaud even had the privilege of delighting members of the Tasting Jury and visitors at the 1867 Universal Exhibition. Copied but never equalled, Nadia Fermigier is the only one with the right to make these genuine macaroons. The tearoom is 200 metres away.

Camille and Benjamin have been making artisanal natural spirits and liqueurs for over 10 years, and created one of the first Patxaran in the Northern Basque Country. Their specialties are well known: Patxaran, Manzana, Patxaka, Basque Pastis, Gin and craft beers. 2024 marks a turning point, with the takeover of Txopinondo (Sagarno apple wine), and the opening (at last!) of their boutique-bar-tasting room to enjoy their specialities after work or later in the evening!

For over 100 years, Maison LAFITTE has nurtured the excellence and savoir-faire of Landes gastronomy. Exclusive partner of the Club des Chefs cuisiniers des Chefs d'Etat around the world, Maison LAFITTE is renowned for the superior quality of its products. Traditional fattened ducks are reared for a minimum of 102 days and fattened on whole grain corn, in accordance with Label Rouge and IGP Landes specifications. This boutique has been part of Bayonne's finest family of artisan chocolatiers since 1854. Taken over by the Biraben family, Cazenave has become a benchmark in the Basque Country and beyond. Thanks to a rigorous selection of certified organic cocoa beans and a know-how that has become ancestral, the chocolate factory, which is also a renowned tea room, offers kanougas, spreads, tablets, assorted chocolates or homemade dark or milk chocolate bonbons, and tourons, one of its specialties.

The smell is inimitable, and perceptible from the moment you enter this store selling cured meats and specialties from the Basque region. It's hard to choose between the various hams, sausages and chorizos, or between the prepared dishes: veal axoa, cassoulet, chipirons, salmis de palombe, poulet basquaise, piperade, confit, magret... Pair with a good artisan cheese, Irouléguy wine, manzana verde or patxaran beer. For sweetness, succumb to the divine jams and jellies or the excellent Aldudes butter.

The vineyard of La Louvière was born in the ^13th century. It passed through several hands: a parliamentary family, winegrowing monks, and then the merchant and mayor of Bordeaux, J.-B. Mareilhac, who had the present château built. Forgotten at the beginning of the ^19th century, the property was finally bought in 1965 by André Lurton, who gave it back its letters of nobility. He then undertook major work in the vineyard (the château was classified as a historical monument in 1991), and revived the Graves appellation with the Pessac-Léognan appellation...

In the 18th century, Château Pomys was one of the most important estates in Saint-Estephe, having belonged successively to great families such as d'Estournel, Martin, Hostein, Pullum and Arnaud. Michel Reybier, owner of the Domaines Reybier hotel group and of the second grand cru classé Cos d'Estournel, has bought Pomys. The estate has a dozen rooms, a seminar room, a reception room and a catering service. The lounges are in the château, in the cellars with a view of the park, the wine estate and the towers.

A real concentration of Basque Country in this establishment. Espelette pepper, ham, macaroons... and olive oils with Zabal'oil, a family-run business that for 4 generations (1850) has been producing 100% natural, and some organic, artisanal olive oils in Toledo, Spain, from ingredients of exceptional quality. This nectar celebrates a salad, fish or meat. The vineyard extends over 16 hectares around the château and 4 hectares on "the heights of Barsac": Clos Mercier. 40 kilometers from Bordeaux, Stéphane Wagrez and Olivier Fargues are attempting to create the wine of the ^21st century, with the Cuvée Coccinelle. More than a chocolate factory, Maison Saunion is THE house of chocolate in Bordeaux, a house that has been established for four generations on Cours Georges-Clemenceau. Thierry Lalet, nicknamed "Le petit Saunion" (the little Saunion), took over the torch of the family business in 1994, always with excellence. Refined shop, cosy welcome. On the shelves, a magnificent selection of fruit pulps, calissons, disguised fruit, and an irresistible range of chocolates: Montmorency, truffles, Guinettes, Clemenceau (rum-candied cherry coated with milk chocolate) as well as the must-eat Gallien de Bordeaux, the oldest chocolate from Saunion with a nougatine shell, almond heart from Provence and hazelnuts from Lot-et-Garonne. Great refinement and the promise of exquisite gourmet moments. In the summer, lovers of sweet treats can enjoy ice-cream in cones or jars sold in a very retro trolley.

This cooperative winery is one of the oldest in France. It brings together three appellations: Listrac, Moulis and Haut-Médoc. The 45 winegrowers, who have been associated since 1935, are environmentally aware: some use fallow land to combat short-nuke, while others use sheep for 100% natural weeding. 200 m² are dedicated to the tasting and sale (reds, rosés, whites, in bottles or bibs) of their production. The association regularly organizes discovery evenings and takes part in numerous gourmet events.

For four generations, the Puyol family has been producing top-quality Saint-Emilion wines. An estate of almost 9 hectares, Château Beaurang benefits from its location in the south of the appellation, on early-maturing sands and gravels.
