Lovers of sweets, do not miss this visit and especially the tasting. The story of its creation is fascinating: Edith, a seamstress, and Michel Noyez, a cook, created in the 70's, the Noisettine du Médoc in a 200 year old cellar, at the time in ruins, which they fell in love with. Everyone falls in love with this delicacy whose recipe dates back to 1649. The hazelnut is cooked in a homemade syrup then coated with a caramel puff. Today, this family factory has become a small museum that welcomes nearly 40,000 visitors per year.

The prune is embodied by the house Roucadil since 1890. In the store, you can buy them classic or filled. You can also find chocolate sticks filled with prunes, chocolate bars with fruits from Lot-et-Garonne (dried figs, caramelized hazelnuts, dried apples married with caramel, goji berries). The know-how is plural with the beggars, the chocolate bars puffed rice or without sugar. To offer, the baskets will make a nice gift.

DOMAINE DE BÉQUIGNOL

Confectionery

The specialist in chocolate-covered nuts, based in Carlux since 1972, exports its chocolate bonbons with walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, coffee, chestnuts, prunes, grapes, mango paste... No animal ingredients or fats (so no milk chocolate, which is vegan-friendly): pure cocoa butter. The delicacies are called Nogailloux or Truffinoix for the nuts, but the estate continues to make regional aperitifs based on nuts and brandies (plum, williams pear), which was its original activity.

NOISETTINES DU MÉDOC

Confectionery

When Edith and Michel Noyez created Noisettine du Médoc in the 1970s, they had no idea that it would soon be found in numerous stalls throughout the region, as well as in Paris and Belgium! But that's hardly surprising, since everyone loves this delicacy, the recipe for which dates back to 1649... It's a generous hazelnut baked in a homemade syrup and coated with a puffed caramel. For a taste of this speciality, visit the store in Bordeaux or the boutique-musée in Blaignan, which organizes tasting tours.
