In the heart of Talence, the Arts and Culture Forum is a place of exhibitions, discoveries, artists'residences and artistic animations. This independent bookstore-gallery has been the pride of Bordeaux's underground culture since 2002. Located in the Old Bordeaux, La Mauvaise Réputation specializes in contemporary art, philosophy and graphic design. The bookstore offers literary genres that are not well represented among its colleagues. On the gallery side, the exhibitions follow one another and are carefully chosen. The artists put forward are funny, avant-garde or protesting and are part of this offbeat spirit which makes the Mauvaise Réputation a really unique place!

In 1970 Pierre Shasmoukine invested this forest area to compose, over time, a set of creations on two hectares: 3 courses of works in nature and 8 indoor galleries, which are 600 works of kinetic, unusual surrealist art, naive art, facilities, land-art, humorous conceptual (fixed ideas to put on the mental door provided for this purpose...). Pierre Shasmoukine welcomes visitors in his inspiration, his breathing and his personal creations alongside those of guest artists. The visit time of these plastics follies is unlimited: in summer, you can discover the site in the afternoon, plan to stay on site in the evening on the free picnic area, and fill your eyes at night because the night tour is another magic... You can even stay the night in a guest room. This different world is indescribable, the best is yet to immerse yourself in the heart of this unique place, which, like its creator, seems straight out of a short story by Tolstoï. This geo-concept, ecological before the hour, is a multi-art field. Children, particularly, will find the keys to imaginary world. Over time, the village has deteriorated. With his sister, the artist launched a call to make it a place to stay and exhibition for young artists.

This atypical art gallery is located on Rue Bouffard, between Pey Berland and Gambetta. Its credo is contemporary art and the discovery of young Bordeaux and international talent. Bouillon d'Art promotes these promising artists by exhibiting them in a large, convivial and refined space, divided into three exhibition rooms. One of these, the Off room, is home to a highly eclectic range of artists. In the heart of La Bastide-Clairence, the Grange Darrieux is a veritable breeding ground for creators, artists and craftspeople. A "factory of ideas" that showcases crafts such as pottery, sculpture, painting... In this tranquil setting, the Grange Darrieux boasts an atypical space, and invites you to take the time to admire the original works and chat with them. Artists from all over the world with multiple influences are present all year round. Painters, sculptors, illustrators, luthiers... A nugget to discover during your stay.

In the 70's, Pascal Magis, painter, had already installed his studio in this house. By opening it to the public, he was a pioneer in Meyrals. He died in 2011, and his niece Céline, with the consent of her aunt, decided to take over the studio in the spirit of Pascal, which then became a full-fledged art gallery, where we find of course the works of Magis, but also those of other contemporary artists. A varied selection, a mixture of old paintings where Pascal's painting explodes and comes to meet you and his more recent paintings

The couple began their career in an old butcher's shop in the town center, converted into a gallery. They were only just beginning to build on their enthusiasm when fate smiled on them: Yves Brayer, a young Prix de Rome winner, lent them one of his paintings to exhibit. In 1998, the gallery moved to Place Clemenceau in a larger space with 2 activities. "With their gallery and publishing house, Marie-José and Philippe Bouscayrol cultivate the eye and the memory. In fact, they also run a publishing house, and have themselves published some fifteen works. Today, after more than fifteen years, they have one prestigious exhibition after another.

In this impressive art gallery, decorative arts, ^20th-century furniture and contemporary art rub shoulders. Its creator, Vincent Tourrès, has travelled the length and breadth of France, visiting fair after fair, including the Puces du Design and the Saint-Ouen flea market. A specialist in ^{twentieth-century} decorative arts, these are amply represented. We find pieces from the 1950s to the 1990s, as well as vintage and designer furniture. Ô Pêcheur de Lune is an exhibition space where the works of artists from the past mingle with those of more contemporary artists.

Since 1970, this art gallery has permanently exhibited contemporary artists of all nationalities and hosts them for temporary exhibitions. They can buy paintings, lithographs, watercolours, sculptures made of bronze, resin, the dead nature of Ludivine, works on canvas or paper of Valadié, sculptures by Jean Louis Toutain, disappeared in 2008, and can also frame and restore his works of art. It is possible to present works of art at home by appointment in the Southwest after a selection of works that may interest you. Your work will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

A rare visit! You'll discover all the aesthetic and decorative things you can do with bird feathers. The craftswoman who opened this workshop-boutique works with natural and local bird feathers, many of them pheasant feathers brought to her. She'll tell you all about her background and her beliefs as a craftswoman. The granddaughter of a haute couture feather-maker, she artfully sorts, cleans, disinfects and assembles thousands of feathers to make paintings, jewelry and accessories, to adorn hats and shoes...

When Sylvie talks about the designers and craftspeople carefully chosen for her boutique - some forty of them! -her eyes sparkle, and we soon discover that each has a remarkable universe. The chiselled jewels are creations in horsehair; the felted wool for the lighting fixtures is collected by an artist whose husband is a sheep farmer; the kokeshi dolls in terra sigillata were born in Pau. The boutique is small, but offers great gift ideas. The originality of these irresistibly charming pieces highlights the excellence of French craftsmanship.
