As December 25 approaches, while the magic of Christmas bewitches young and old and the old bearded man is busy finishing the beautiful toys, a red and white horde surges through the Sancto-Benedictine streets. The minimum age required for the runners is 15 years. One hour before the start of the adult loop (7.5 km), the Course des Lutins allows children from 6 to 13 years old to take part in the event for one kilometer.

Ranked second among French marathons, the La Rochelle marathon takes place every year on the last weekend of November. In 2022, no less than 12,500 athletes came to run in the streets of La Rochelle on a flat course. Two loops and fast last kilometers, it does not take more to motivate the joggers! On the eve of the race, there was a "Leg Warmer", a tradition that allows runners to warm up. The public is always there!

The first village was used to meeting sportsmen. There are cyclists who are delighted to find flat roads after crossing the bridge, runners who enjoy a delightful view of the ocean, and those who frequent this ideally located fitness trail. Advantage? It is located on the southern beach, it is not only accessible to all, but also offers a very pleasant shade during the hot days. Not only will you do sports, but you will also be able to refresh yourself easily, the ocean is only a few meters away!

Located kilometres from Niort, on one of the paths leading from Poitou to the ocean, Mauzé-sur-le-Mignon offers an easy walk to the discovery of its architectural and architectural heritage. At the departure of the port, you cross the streets of the municipality towards Saint-Pierre church, the first step on your journey. If the heart tells you, enter it. Then you don't go to the Tapes road, Place des Halles, the way of the king's gardens and the Mother Clause home home.

Traditionally, in La Rochelle two races are held in November. Before facing the marathon that took place at the end of the month, joggers can take to the streets of Port-Neuf. On the programme, 10 km on flat ground in a district not far from the city centre by the ocean. Forget the wind and cold, bring a pair of shoes and a windproof jacket! It should be noted that the start takes place on the "Colette Besson" playground, which won the gold medal in 1968 for the 400 metres at the Olympic Games in Mexico City.

It's the oldest race in the department! Since 1977, it has always been a very festive event with its 2 distances (4.5 and 10 km). The circuit is done on roads and paths on the outskirts of La Crèche. To stay in the Christmas spirit, it is welcome to run in disguise and the best disguises will be rewarded. Participants who wish to do so can also make a donation of 1 € to Secours Populaire to give a gift to the most needy at Christmas.

A very natural hike in the countryside of the Mellois country in the heart of Poitou with copious supplies (coffee, brioche, mulled wine, pancakes, soup, cold cuts). At the finish, there are the stadium showers, 4 high pressure cleaners for mountain bikes. The whole thing is animated by a brass band called the disonans. People will discover a beautiful little village and will be welcomed by the 50 volunteers. A sauerkraut meal (paying and limited to 200 people) will be offered to all participants at the end! Don't miss this very friendly race.

This rural trail is the guaranteed decoupling combined with a beautiful sporting challenge! Through different trails and walking, you can discover the bucolic valley of Sonnette and its rural heritage: hamlets, fountains, mills, viaducts, Roman bridges… At the end of the events, an aperitif will be offered by the city hall and a campground buffet (paid) will be offered with a small concert. So don't miss this sporting appointment that is very user-friendly!

Every year in September since 2010, a small corner of the Deux-Sèvres is animated at the rhythm of the 10 Bornes de Saint-Maxire, taking place in the town and surrounding areas. The programme of this convivial sport event: an easy 10 km walk between roads and paths for the big, and many free animations for children. Nearly 330 athletes are regularly expected at each edition. Only, family or friends - and if you were part of it?

In July, Saint-Georges-de-Didonne hosts its Côte de Beauté relay. On the program: two running events of 5 and 10 km on a flat road. The ideal challenge, in short, to expend your energy! Put on your sneakers to be part of the 400 athletes expected!

Every year, around the International Women's Day (Saturday at 4pm), the commune of Magné honors the female gender, and invites them to participate from 4pm in a pedestrian road race. On the program, there will be 2 events: 7 km individual or relay (minime category) 3,5 km with 2 girls. At the end of the race, a reward will be given to all athletes: a good start to renew training! This race is richly endowed, there is a gift for each participant and for the podiums and prizes for the women.

This is the 7th edition. A colorful animation is planned for 2020.

At the end of March, the Commune commune welcomes the sports event every year. Approximately 700 participants are expected this year to run and compete on the various proposed circuits: 3 km duo, 10 km regional label, and two children's races 1 km and 2 km. In sum, there are for all tastes and levels, so start yourself, and be among the many athletes expected around this user-friendly challenge!

Each year the event allows to attend the races in town, animations, exhibitions of vehicles, tourist rally on the roads of Charente... Several categories of vehicles take part in this historical event: GT and tourisms before and after 1965, pre-war, the famous Bugatti plateau, Grand Prix cars from 1908 to 1954. Some vehicles take part in the concours d'élégance or in the state and restoration contest.

The history of the Deux-Sèvres region has been marked by motor sports, of which Bressuire was one of the great strongholds. Mayor Alain Métayer, president of the automobile club, founded a famous urban circuit there in 1951, which was abandoned in 1955 after the 24 hours of Le Mans accident. A few heirs of the great era took up the torch 16 years ago in the form of a vintage car-motorcycle rally and other customized machines. The grand prix takes place in the city, with trials, a night race, a parade and a prize-giving ceremony.
