LA CERVA D’OC
Read moreSince 2015, after being put up for sale, it is a local child, Maud Pressigout, who is taking over the business by performing a real professional pirouette. Formerly a childcare worker at the mother and child hospital in Limoges, she was accompanied by the master of beer. The artisanal approach is still at the heart of the production, the labels are still in French and Occitan, the bottles are sold at the farm and on the markets. But Maud also has her dreams: to develop the production and to propose recipes based on beer.
LA CERVOISERIE
Read moreOf the Cervoiseries there are 22 in the hexagon, that of Limoges extends over a large space in front of Troc.com. At the controls or rather at the zippers of this temple of beer, Yannick and Antoine, two friendly and dynamic young friends make us discover the foam under a Maous aspect. More than 300 varieties await us, Belgian, German, Czech and traditional beers, etc. By tasting a different beer every day, you can last a whole year! White, blond, amber, brown, you can see them in all colours. We discover them in cans or under pressure, there are four of them and it often changes. The Cervoiseries even asked the Caulier brewery (the one that makes the famous Peace God) to create their own beer for them: the triple Rivoise, excellent! And if you are a novice you can ask for advice, that's what the bosses are there for. As an aperitif, you can accompany your cervoise with sausage or Chimay cheese. You can also take them with you, the house is also a beer cellar where you can fill your basket by picking from among the many crates placed here and there. We also took a soft look at the three dozen whiskies in front of the bar. Big Peat, Dalmore, Redbreast, Nikka, and many others, as well as excellent rums very selected will not fail to titillate the taste buds of connoisseurs. It should be noted that these beers, alcohols, but also logoted glasses are declined in gift ideas in the form of boxes and tasting baskets. Theme evenings (quiz, sport, tasting of local products).
LA BRASSERIE DU HAUT-LIMOUSIN
Read moreFormer police officer of the town of Limoges, Eric Martialot resigned to follow the traditions of his grandmother, brewer in the Northern France, and to live on his passion: to create its own artisanal beer, Lémovice, a natural beer 100 %. Installed very close to the viaduct of Rocherolles, he likes to make share his know-how at the time of the visits of the brasserie which are done over go and in season, with the Tourist Office. This microphone-brasserie produces up to 300 liters of beer of double fermentation, not pasteurized. The scented with amber blonde as were already crowned of a Fouquet d'Or at the lounge of the brewer of Saint-Nicolas-de-Port. They have much taste, because Eric adds to it herbs (apple, bilberry, roots, flowers of acacia, wild hops gathered on banks of Gartempe). He produces also a baptized brown ale Miner. To enjoy with moderation, that goes without saying!

KOPÉ UN 2
Read moreWe love this bar in the rue Delescluze where we don't drink, but where we enjoy excellent Belgian beers. A clientele of twenty- and thirty-somethings, very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We discover the precious beverages (there are more than 140), we ask for advice to Lulu, the owner, initiated very early in beerology in the flat country of the foam. They can be consumed on the spot, or taken away (until 8 pm). In the room next to the bar, they are all presented individually, in cases or in gift boxes, with pretty beer glasses. Sometimes there are theme nights, sometimes there are bands. On sunny days, you can sit on the terrace on a very quiet place, you are fine.
