With a surface area of 410 ha, the lake of Neuvic is fed by the stream of the same name which has its source on the plateau of Millevaches. The old railway station at Châlus has been completely renovated, and the original track has been transformed into a greenway stretching as far as Oradour-sur-Vayres. The 13 km route offers a peaceful, safe walk suitable for walkers, rollerbladers, cyclists and wheelchair users. The entrance to the greenway is marked by tables and signs on the right. Covering an area of 42 ha, this artificial lake was put into water in 1984, fed by the Farges stream. Swimming is supervised in summer. Reg Alcorn is a conference artist, painter and animator of painting workshops, dance, percussion. Passionate about painting and music, after studying England and staying in different countries, he discovers the music workshops in Paris. Drummer in different jazz and improvisation orchestras, he meets with African, French and American musicians. By creating interdisciplinary workshops (percussion, dance and painting), he develops his own plastic expression. An artificial water reservoir on the Vézère river, the 100-hectare, 25-metre-deep lake has been awarded the "European Blue Flag" label thanks to the efforts made in environmental matters. In an exceptional setting with a variety of meadows, wooded areas and rocky walls, the "nature sports resort" offers a wide range of seasonal activities: canoeing, rafting (on request outside the summer), pedal boat hire, mountain bike hire and trekking, with the possibility of introductory courses without accommodation. In a 165-hectare park, this golf course is set between chestnut, beech, larch and birch trees. Slopes, counter-slopes, overhanging slopes, forests, water and other bunkers add to the challenge. The quad will offer on some portions two easy, easy-to-use routes, allowing all pilotage levels. Two test tracks are reserved for new models and another for young quadeurs.
