A festival for classical music lovers in sumptuous settings whose opening concert takes place at the end of May at the Château de Saillant! Opera, chamber music..... many styles and periods are offered every year. Also noteworthy is a concert for young audiences. It is a great opportunity to discover part of the heritage of Corrèze (theatres, abbeys, churches, castles...), from Brive to Turenne via Donzenac and Uzerche, among others. And for this 40th year, the festival has some melodious surprises in store for you!

In the heart of Collonges la Rouge, a cultural rendezvous that has been an inescapable cultural event since 1991.

Each and every one of them, the place du Lavoir de Collonges-la-Rouge, has been held on the eve of the big evenings to offer you performances of all the young and commedia. The event is carried out by the Association Collonges Animations Shows.

Over the years, the Brive Book Fair has become a not-to-be-missed event with around a hundred literary encounters. The event welcomes over 400 authors and illustrators of general literature, children's literature and comics. The Brive Book Fair is organized by the City of Brive, with the help of partner booksellers, faithful private partners, the support of the Centre national du livre, the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Département de la Corrèze and numerous media.

Every year for over 30 years, it's been a tradition: all strawberry lovers gather in Beaulieu for this exceptional strawberry festival. Here, the red fruit is king: the gariguette, grown along the valley, gives spring its exceptional taste of sunshine, while its little sister, the juicy and very sweet mara des bois, is reminiscent of the forest. Strawberry market, farmers' and crafts market, wooden merry-go-round, children's play area, gabare outing, not forgetting the famous giant strawberry tart - it's all part of a delicious day out!

Three days, three hundred authors and one guest of honour, animations throughout the city, meetings, conferences, exhibitions, literary awards, youth lounge and of course signing sessions, this is the formula. The fair in Limoges does not have the reputation of its briviste neighbour but, with its 60 000 visitors, it is one of the ten largest book fairs in France and is the occasion for a great deal of meetings.

Two Christmas markets are held in Limoges all December. The market for producers and craftsmen is located in La Motte. There are high quality products to fill your party table (more than exhibitors). The second, Place de la République, is the Christmas village with its festive chalets. It is rather where to find his gifts: greedy products, jewellery, wooden games. You can also dine there or simply eat roasted chestnuts with hot wine.

Brought with passion for over ten years by the Film directors Society, the Rencontres du Moyen de Brive have an important reputation in France and in the Cinema world. They are supported by many partners (the City, the Department, the Limousin Region, the Ministry of Culture (DRAC), the CNC, as well as by private companies. A unique festival in Europe to be entirely devoted to the free format of the medium film (length between 30 and 60 minutes), the event aims to promote exchanges between the public and professionals around a very varied programming: more than one hundred projections, a competition of recent films, tributes, school programming, round tables, a film concert, but also public-teams meetings around an aperitif, educational workshops in the image, debates of rare works… Time of thematic and Retrospective is also very popular with the public: previously devoted to Olivera Manuel or Peter Watkins, Agnès Varda or Japanese filmmaker Koji Wakamatsu, in 2016 Chantal Akerman and Apichatpong Weerasethakul were in Honour.

For two days, animations of daily life, artisans, shops, taverns, medieval games, camping, musicians, parades in costume villagers, acrobats, street theatre, falconers, fire-eaters, etc. Opening of the taverns on saturday at 12:00 and beginning of the festivities with 15:00, feasts, etc. every Saturday evening Night, medieval concert every Sunday evening. You can rent costumes for adults and children on site.

For over 20 years, the brown has been honoured every year and in all directions with Beynat. Dawn at sunset, entertainment, demonstrations and tastings will delight children and adults, professional and curious. The "giant" (chestnut cake) is one of the main features of this award-winning annual fair and its division at the end of the day is a moment symbolic and friendly awaited.

In this fair that has been run for over 28 years, beekeepers book the star. Each year, more than a dozen exchanges with visitors on their expertise, their knowledge of the local fauna and flora and exhibits their products: variety of honey but also derived products such mead, the royal jelly, nougat, gingerbread, sweets… Workshops are presented by local artists: pottery, trompe-l'oeil painting or old machines and tools made of wood.

The traditional Chèvres goat's fair stands at the foot of the abbey for 40 years during which its success has never wavered. A free event that allows you to enjoy the beautiful animals, to taste and buy regional products (cheeses, wines, sausages…). Grills and refreshments are offered by the party committee. Not to mention the famous wine fountain!

Cherry Festival is an event that smells good summer before the hour! Two days of festivities to celebrate the delicious red fruit in varied and varied forms. One hundred exhibitors, you have no excuse to eat clafoutis! The opportunity also to attend the young firefighters'maneuvers and to finish the evening with a step in music.

Every year, the commune of La Chapelle-aux-Saints takes us back to prehistory for a whole weekend. As well as visiting the archaeological site in the afternoons, you can wander through the village, taking in exhibitions, workshops and other events. The program includes the European Prehistoric Weapons Shooting Championship, tree-print recognition, a market, a hike, round-table discussions...

If you are in the Argentat region during the last week of July, don't miss a little tour in the village of Lanteuil. Discover the traditional dances of this Correzian territory and the old-fashioned costumes worn by the dancers. Over two days, folk groups perform in the streets of the village and craftsmen demonstrate their art. Also craftsmen and artists working with rye straw.

A free, popular, brin fête has been taking place for six summers on the banks of the Dordogne in Argentat: All on the Bridge! This is the watchword of this beautiful festive day that revives the legend of Coulobre, this serpent snake that accompanied the gabariers. In a lively and joyful atmosphere, we eat on the bridge, the crews of rafts venture on the water and Argentat makes its cinema.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the festival has established itself as the biggest stage in the Limousin region. Every year, the town pulls out all the stops when it comes to programming. The 600 tons of sand deposited in the Théâtre de Verdure are almost anecdotal. Sting, Patrick Bruel, Santa and Grand Corps Malade are all expected to perform at the 2024 event. The rest of the program includes sporting events with tournaments (including beach rugby), sandcastle competitions and free concerts during the day. An unmissable festival in the region.

Since 1987 Chanteix sings, the Festival Aux Champs: a very popular event in Corrèze, a broth of culture with a cube of magic and some potatoes. Today, this festival is the flagship of the annual program led by the association Tuberculture, in Chanteix the country of the Boîte En Zinc, name of the room of Chanteix which, the rest of the year, opens its doors for various concerts and other shows of great quality. Several comedians, groups or famous singers come to perform on stage. This annual meeting is also an opportunity to exchange between people of the cities and people of the fields and makes it possible to make known, to develop and taste one of the specialities typically correzienne: the farcidures. Exhibitions and projections also take place.

For almost 35 years, this gourmet festival has been attracting large crowds. Red Collonges enjoys reviving the tradition of authentic markets. Locals, regulars and the curious follow the village warden, flanked by his trusty drum and clogs, to the communal oven, which is busy in the cool sunshine of the first Sunday in August.
