This traditional sport was played at festivals and challenges in the 1860s, and the first competition was held in Pézenas in 1909. Today, the sport has evolved with specific rules and equipment. In part of the Occitanie region, Course Camarguaise is much more than a traditional extreme sport with high emotional, technical and artistic intensity. Created in 1996, the League aims to promote and develop the practice of Tambourine ball in Occitanie. In association with the various departmental committees, it is at the disposal of all players wishing to play for leisure or in competition, as well as supporting new leaders wishing to set up a club. The league also supports the organization of promotional events and introductions to the traditional ball game!
