A stone's throw from the heart of Saint-Gély-du-Fesc, Le Mélagais is the place to meet carnivores of all kinds. Patrice, the chef is a grill specialist! It welcomes its guests in the authentic setting of an old refurbished stone remission in an original style that mixes the metal with more traditional materials such as wood or terracotta. On the map, there is a fairly classic kitchen, but it has the merit of honoring excellent local products such as YAAAA, Aubrac beef coast, trilac or duck ducks from the southwest. To accompany these rich pieces of meat, Patrice remains in the tradition register by offering aligot, home fries or seasonal vegetables. Fish lovers reassuring themselves, grilled gamlow XXL and wolf to romarin are also part of the game.

Lovers of Aveyron, this place will delight you! Aubrac meats, Ségala calf, assortiment of French charcuterie... Everything comes from the Ruthénois country. You will note the "Aligot" menu with Conquet sausage and for dessert, cottage cheese and chestnut cream. Salad lovers will also be delighted with particularly the Aveyronnaise which combines the north and the south of the department (sic) (with Laguiole cheese and ewe cheese perail) or the mac Aligot (and its breaded aligot pancake). Finally, for dessert, some classics will satisfy you: profiteroles, rum baba.

It was not our surprise to find Anne and Hervé, whom we knew from Sainte-Affrique, at the hotel-restaurant Le Majestic. Now closer to the coast, they reveal the best of Aveyron, but not just: Pizza, quiches, croques-m alongside the aveyron products. Charcuterie of Bories, Tripiers tripiers and other cured from Landoulet, fresh sausage and chipolatas sausage for grills, sausage sausage, fricandeaux, liver or roquefort sausage, rosette, farçous, boudin and head cheese, dry ham from Aveyron (12 months refining), oil sausage; and the best of cheeses: roquefort, ricotta, ", cantal, laguiole… And we would forget the inescapable aligot. All these products have been selected by these two epicurean aveyron, which are not greedy in preparation boards. Products we find on pizzas such as Cape Aveyron (tomato, cheese, sausages, bacon bacon, bacon and roquefort). You can take your eyes closed in this den.

Arnaud has worked at the kitchen of Maxim's and European Parliament and then at a hostel in the vicinity of Saint-Affrique before settling down in Sète. He leaves the Sète specialities for the benefit of the Aveyron specialities, in homage to the grandmothers' recipes. Thus, in a new and younger decoration, you can taste a beef tongue in old-fashioned spicy sauce with Aveyron-style stuffed cabbage, which requires 10 days of preparation (low temperature cooking), Provençal tofu or yellowtail flounder fillets with spinach or stuffed squid… The bread is homemade and the chef even offers dishes for babies (from 6 months to 3 years).
