At Donato Pizza, the pizzerias are basically generous. The classic pizza recipes are on the map. There are even originality brands across Creole, Provençal, La and cream base pizza. The restaurant also offers lasagna, and the whole map is to be taken! Donato Pizza regularly broadcasts soccer matches. The only drawback: The room is large enough to be noisy when the restaurant is very busy.

New address at Saint-Chamond, Monte-Cristo is to discover, offering good brasserie style cuisine at affordable prices. You can enjoy the large terrace on Liberty square, where you can enjoy lunch or dinner when the beautiful days are felt. On the menu, six varieties of salads, large or small, a nice choice of meat - we particularly appreciated the beef jelly, accompanied by seasonal vegetables, as well as the homemade hamburger. Proposed fish dishes change according to season and daily arrivals. Special mention to the oriental specialities proposed on the map: Grape leaves, tabbouleh souberek, stuffed aubergines, kefta… Other Armenian specialities are served on Saturday evening, but it is also possible to order them, three days before and for a minimum of six people. A real good address!

Outside, a large, quiet and sheltered terrace. Inside, a cosy bistro atmosphere where you can find the donkeys of the sign, on the paintings on the walls, as among the different trinkets and toys adorning the place. There are pizzas developed with local products: Red Label ravioli, tomb of St Marcellin refined, blue of Vercors AOP, ardecic ham, ardecic ham or French mozzarella. We tasted and it's a treat! The pizzas are well stocked and the fine dough. Italian chicks are light and tasty. The salads of an exemplary freshness. There are even local desserts such as foam foam, Valrhôna chocolate mousse and Adélice craft ice cream. Quality and fine presentation. The modern location and design are pleasant. A good address.

Mont-blanc sushi offers specialities of raw fish, maki, sushi, sashimi and skewer as take away. The menu is always rich and inventive with simple salmon sushi specialities sold in pairs of 6 identical pieces, such as the Rainbow that combines crab, mint, coriander, lemon, salmon, tuna and avocado. You travel depending on your wishes and budget. For lunch, three menus at reasonable prices are offered, but the best is the tray to share. Remember that lunch on the spot and no home delivery are available - but a culinary journey to the land of Soleil Levant (the rising sun) is worth a few sacrifices!

Never crash into your couch without a Black Box. At the controls of the four addresses, including a "Rose" at H7 Confluence: Lucas. It was quite naturally in Naples that Lucas became passionate about pizza. It was probably thought that the sushi invasion would stop there, satisfying the needs of a chic and demanding clientele working at the Brotteaux in search of new culinary sensations. Well no! How not to react to the opening of a new address in the heart of the city, at the emblematic corner of Grenette street and rue Mercière, even though the latter has not been the guardian of the Lyon gastronomy for a long time. We will probably be treated with old "réacs", but we had to dare to offer sushi, especially of this poor quality, at this location. We talk about "culinary creation", but we are always looking for the fish in this maki! We talk about fusion food, but how do you enjoy a maki in foie gras? Planet Sushi is apparently more than 180 products to "taste", but how do you want this to be fresh when the products are presented as a ready-to-eat collection? In the area of marriage between Japanese and European cuisine, Lyon offers so much better than ignoring this address.

Sushi is an art that few cooks master. True, very little on Lyon and we are happy to enter the world of Sushi Wa Lounge, small frêre of an excellent Japanese restaurant, the Takeyama located on the same street. Eating at the Sushi Wa Lounge is an unforgettable experience to renew as often as possible (and as it is open every day!). Without being frightened by the word "lounge", too, in all the sauces, we discovered a splendid interior, a harmonious blend of Japanese tradition and modern touches. If the small lounge with a low table is most pleasant, you can settle near the famous treadmill where the wonders prepared by a Korean chef in sushi, maki, sashimi and other California roll. The plats soups, salads and original dishes that bring us to the land of the rising sun are also included in the plats. A quality, dépaysante and tasty address in the heart of Lyon.

In a typical 1950s building in the United States, has just moved to Villars, near Alinéa a Memphis Coffee. Stainless steel fronts on the outside, black and white checkered floors, colored leather benches, jukeboxes, vintage gas pumps, posters of American stars on the inside, cartoons, American football, rodeo or cowboy movies on the screens, the decoration of the Memphis Coffee is reminiscent of Uncle Sam's world. On the menu, in addition to the must-have hot dog, there are also typical American recipes served at the table: burgers, triangle sandwiches, starters, salads, hot dogs, grilled meats but also ice creams and pastries imported from the United States.

We are not really on the side of Chez Swann, since this passage (careful, it is not a traboule) open between Quai Saint-Antoine and Rue Mercière takes us to Thailand. A totally unexpected setting for an exotic restaurant in many ways. First, because among a series of bouchons and other custom-tailored restaurants for the many tourists who pace up and down the neighbourhood, this one takes us where we do not expect to be, in Thailand. Secondly, because the restaurant occupies a more than discrete passage, more visible by the Saône-side wharf than by Rue Mercière, and that it is settled on both sides of the passage! Two dining rooms facing each other to taste a good-quality Thai cuisine, made by a traditional chef. For the reception and the service, Futé continues to claim that they are irregular and you can be received with a smile, just as you may feel really unwanted. Futé tried to eat there this year, but a person told us that the service wouldn't start before 1pm! Don't get hungry too early… and resume work at 2pm. Another weak point in the house, the desserts that are not a specialty of the destination. Original address rooted in the local landscape, but too "uncertain" to be recommended.
