The philharmonic orchestra's programming is multi-faceted and open to all: chamber music, symphonic concerts, film-concert for young audiences, operas and even various workshops! Winner of the Victoires de la Musique and numerous other awards, the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg is also the oldest philharmonic orchestra in France. Located near the campus and the Grillenbreit district, the Grillen is the contemporary music hall managed by the city of Colmar since 1998. Its capacity does not exceed 350 seats, the concerts remain intimate, far from the zeniths and the gigantic and impersonal halls. All musical styles are represented: pop, rock, punk, soul, metal, hardcore, garage, electro, experimental, rap, blues... The Comédie de l'Est has changed its name under the impetus of its new directors, Émilie Capliez and Matthieu Cruciani, who are keen to make its local roots more visible. It is now called the Comédie de Colmar. For the rest, the new Comédie de Colmar continues its mission of original creations and presentation of works from all over Europe: theater, opera, dance and shows for children.
