This gastronomic restaurant and wine bistro has converted its old cellar into a wine bar, while on the ground floor and terrace is the restaurant. Regional specialities revisited with elegance and lightness. The wine bar character of the place invites you to combine wine with food. For those who like to pick up a lot of little things, theaperitivo is particularly good. Ask for advice, as the wine list has almost 450 wine references!

Located in a former warehouse on a small square in the city centre, this friendly neighbourhood bistro offers tasty regional cuisine and a touch of the good old-fashioned style (excellent antipasti in particular). You can sit in one of the three tastefully decorated rooms, two of which are made of stone with vaulted ceilings, and in one of them you can see the cooks at work in their kitchen. Nice summer terrace for lunch under parasols. An address appreciated by the locals, which we can only recommend.

In the purest Neapolitan tradition! The atmosphere is very lively around the large wooden fire, where an army of pizzaioli hastens to manufacture and cook the pizza you chose on a very long list.

It doesn't take long to realize that L'Ancora is a fishmonger like no other. Firstly, because its decor is at the cutting edge of design, with its polished steel counter, bulbous floor lamps and immaculate white walls and tables sculpted with contemporary reliefs. Secondly, because here you don't just buy or order a fish dish, you taste real raw or cooked creations on the spot. It's good, it's fresh, it's artistically presented and, of course, it's expensive.

A welcome alternative to the eternal midday panino, Cristina Perino's bistro-drugstore has been attracting new customers since it opened in 2010. In this small, pastel-toned shop, crates of fruit and vegetables are stacked to one side, without taking away from the stools and nooks where you can sit down. Enjoy home-cooked dishes such as lasagne au pistou, roast pork with sautéed potatoes, asparagus risotto, and why not try a slice of fruit tart? Price by weight.

This is the only restaurant on the island of San Giulio, and it sometimes relies a little too heavily on its enviable position and monopoly. Nevertheless, it remains an address that serves honest cuisine, highlighting traditional recipes in a simple manner. There is sometimes a bit of a wait, as you won't be the only one eager to enjoy the setting... But of course, the breathtaking view of the lake from the shaded terrace is worth a meal in itself.

Always crowded, the Bologna has long attracted a local clientele that goes there for traditional Bolognese dishes in a beautiful setting. In the heart of lively San Salvario, this rustic yet trendy bistro has won over Turin's discerning clientele, so much so that reservations are necessary to secure a table. Brick walls, clean lines and softly lit retro lamps create a warm ambience, for abundant, tasty cuisine. Well-stocked wood-fired pizzas, tender beef tartars and nicely grilled cockerels are just some of the must-try dishes served here, accompanied by a cold lager...

Hats off to Marcello Trentini! This young chef is the first Turinese to have been awarded the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe, a recognition followed by the award of a Michelin star. And for good reason: his restaurant in the Courtyard of San Maurizio has become one of the city's must-see gastronomic stops. Warm rabbit salad with hazelnuts, steak tartare with oysters, bouillabaisse, duck à la Marengo... If the portions of these delicious dishes are rather small, the prices are still far from the unaffordable prices of the starred tables. To be tried without delay.

A fine family-run restaurant created by a brother and his two sisters, offering fine local Biel cuisine with a twist. It is affiliated with the Slow Food movement, which favors short circuits. The zucchini flowers served with a parmesan crème brûlée are well worth the detour! The meat is very well cooked. Good wines too. At the back of the restaurant, you can admire the old ovens covered with ^18th-century earthenware tiles. Trendy, uncluttered decor, meticulous presentation and service, and a terrace under the arcades when the weather's mild.

A friendly restaurant-pizzeria in the town center. Its strong point is certainly the beauty of its large ^17th-century brick vaults inside, but in season, the terrace is also very pleasant! The pizza menu is certainly well-stocked and appetizing, but it would be a shame not to try one of the meat dishes or the primi ( risottis , for example), typical of the region, which are well worth a taste. If you're not planning to try out the restaurant (which, however, is well worth the detour on its own), take a moment to wander through this soothing larch forest, sample the region's best hot chocolate and sit out on the terrace to enjoy a delicious moment, high above the Ampezzo valley. You could even fill up on their delicious artisan cheeses.

The restaurant of the Ghedina lake is located in a fairy-tale place, which we advise you to reach on foot, through mountains and forests (see " Stroll > Ghedina lake). The main attraction of this place is the lakeside chalet, with its amazing blue-green colours in summer. A la carte, specialities of grilled meats (the most prestigious) on hot stone. On sunny days, a terrace also allows you to take a moment to relax and prolong your lunch and enjoy the magic of the panorama on the lake.

Almost in front of the landing stage of Isola dei Pescatori, a beautiful address with a sheltered terrace where you can taste the specialities of the lake, prepared with a touch of contemporary inspiration and finesse. Fruits, vegetables and cereals are exclusively organic, all very healthy, very fresh. Quick to order and to taste, with a very low environmental impact. Wide choice of soups, smoothies, sandwiches, but also pasta or quinoa salads, chicken, salmon or vegetable and cheese rolls... A fast-food restaurant where you can fill up on vitamins. Everything can be delivered to your home and sold to take away.

This large Milanese covered market is part of the project to redevelop the entire Darsus, at the mouth of the old Navigli. It's probably the best glacier in Valsesia! Frigidarium has been serving ice creams and sorbets to tourists and regulars since 1949. A slightly retro decor, delicious fragrances (which evolve according to the seasonality of the products, like blueberry, melon or fig in summer) and a good atmosphere. You can even go there to have a drink, a creamy homemade hot chocolate or a coffee and croissant in the morning. You can also buy sweets of all kinds (chocolates, meringues, pies, cakes...).

Here's a quality Italian-style fast-food restaurant near the train station, on the old town side. In this neighborhood with its large student population, this affordable address is a godsend. It's always busy, and it's easy to see why, as the value for money is unbeatable. At the piadine counter, you order a mini or regular version, choosing your local ingredients. You can take away or eat on site at counters or tables. Quickly done, well done, and with a smile!

Everything that arrives on the table of this bistro is steamed on the spot: meat, fish and vegetables are served in small wooden baskets that are very environmentally friendly. But there's no shortage of fresh offerings like the Life Bowls: bowls bursting with mango, goji berries, bananas, agave, maracuja, granola and other vitamin-rich freshness. Smoothies, macedonies and pressed fruit are also on the menu. About sixty seats distributed over two floors in a functional, linear facility, perfect for lunch break.

It's one of the best tables in town. If the room is not very bright and the mountain chalet decoration is inevitably a bit kitsch, the plate is delicious and copious and the service is impeccable. A la carte, Venetian specialities adapted to the season. Special mention for the tasty sliced beef and its red fruit sauce. The house speciality remains nevertheless the grilled meat, minimum 500 grams all the same! The wine list matches the dishes and offers a large choice of Italian vintages. The homemade desserts are also tempting.

A large, modern, well-lit space serving a wide selection of pizzas, pastas and risotti, as well as salads, burgers and more elaborate dishes featuring Piedmontese and Ligurian specialties. An impressive choice of wines, mainly from northern Italy, but also beers. It's a bit like Cuneo's cantina, with everyone gathering here for lunch or dinner, but the service is fast and the atmosphere very good. Prices are very reasonable for this quality of cuisine. The only slight negative: it's noisy...

One of the city's historic restaurants, Baracca offers typical Biella dishes in a simple, familiar setting, where yellow dominates. The dishes on offer change according to the day and the season, but certain classics are always on the menu, such as the risotto, which is a must, but also the bagna cauda, or the braised beef(brasato) cooked slowly in Barolo wine. A fine list of Piedmont wines, too. Service is a little slow, but the value for money is well worth the detour.

This unpretentious restaurant located 15 minutes walk from the center is mostly frequented by the local youth. It offers everything on the slate in Italian, so freshness is guaranteed. A seasonal menu, therefore, with a variety of appetizing pastas, but always with a vegan option each day, such as delicious pasta with broccoli, cashew nuts and pesto, as well as regional dishes, gourmet burgers concocted with local ingredients. But most of all, you come here to have a drink. Very good atmosphere on weekends in the evening, terrace outside.

A deep-fried paradise with a very Trainspotting atmosphere. Everything is fried, everything is good and everything is cheap (from €5 for a fry). The secret is in the fried dough, which, with the right flour, is cooked in the right oil at the right temperature. On the menu: shrimp, cod, chicken nuggets, but also zucchini flowers, eggplant and cordon bleu. Fries are a logical accompaniment, to be dipped in a choice of over 50 different sauces. To drink, a selection of 16 craft beers.

A little set back from the lakeside and its tourist traps, it is said that Le Boeuc has been serving drinks to the local bon vivants since the 17th century. And the atmosphere hasn't changed much since then: at the same time cellar, wine bar and bistro, it's in the small room with exposed stones and beams that you'll be served copious plates of cheese, cold meats, bruschettas as well as nourishing soups. And all you have to do is choose one of the many bottles in the cellar. Perfect for an aperitif or a different meal.

Ideal to eat a good pizza without breaking the bank. The place is unpretentious, with a large vaulted room overlooking ancient stone arches. The locals are not mistaken and come here to order their favourite pizzas. The mozzarella is particularly exceptional, the thin and crispy dough is tasty and the pizza with Tyrolean speck and a beautiful ball of burrata is a pure wonder. Also some very hearty pasta dishes, but really pizzas are a must. Fast and friendly service.

A trattoria in the historic center where excellent Trentino specialties are served at a good price. Try the surprising deer and black truffle risotto and the tasty sprangolapreti (Trentino gnocchi). Good local wines, very friendly service and a nice atmosphere in the evening. The setting is chic and elegant inside with nice antique armchairs. You can also opt for the terrace on the street. Courteous service.

In truth, it's more of a café-bar than a restaurant. A popular spot, as crowded as it is welcoming, right in the heart of the historic center. The reason? People come here to enjoy wine from the Adige hillsides, craft beer, or a glass of prosecco served "on draught", accompanied by delicious canapés of cold meats, mozzarella and bruschetta. You can stuff yourself to your heart's content because it's not expensive and, what's more, it's tempting: everything is on display in the window. You'll have to elbow your way to find room foraperitivo.

Smoked charcuterie and mountain cheeses are in the spotlight, as are typical seasonal dishes twisted with exotic and Mediterranean ingredients. You won't get bored with the Dolomites tasting menu. It is expensive, but worth the taste discovery. Great selection of Italian wines (more than 900 labels).

Trentino's gastronomy is in the spotlight in this very good restaurant, and so is the wine! A good reason to combine each dish with a glass designed to match the flavours. Smoked trout with apple salad, pumpkin gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce or grilled local meats can be accompanied by a good local white wine, organic if possible. In the historic center, this inn-restaurant, housed in a pretty little 1930s villa, is one of the region's most renowned addresses. The chef offers regional dishes that reflect the quality principles of the Slow Food label. The cuisine is based on the market and the seasons, using the freshest produce, but with small portions. The eight rooms at the Villa Myosotis inn, each named after Snow White and each of the Seven Dwarfs, are cosy and comfortable.

For those who love good food, the Bar à Fromage is the place to be. This mountain restaurant, which you'd visit only for its traditional decor featuring objects used to make butter or cheese, is well worth the detour. The raw materials used to concoct the dishes are rigorously sourced from local producers. It's hard to choose: gnocchi or Grand Paradis soup? Fondue, raclette or reblochon? Cheese platter or alpine milk ice cream?

This is surely the restaurant with the best view in Turin! Monte dei Cappuccini is located on the hill behind the church of the same name. From its terrace, the panorama embraces the Po and the entire city surrounded by the Alps. What a marvel! On summer evenings, it's a truly magnificent setting! The cuisine is of course Piedmontese-inspired, traditional and, what's more, complies with the Slow Food charter. Pasta and desserts are particularly tasty!

Germanic, authentic and very welcoming atmosphere in this restaurant, whose German name Weißes Rössl is used much more often than Italian. The historic inn can be identified by its painted façade, which can be recognized from afar. The restaurant offers excellent regional specialties in a stylish setting: pork tenderloin with mushrooms, trout in white wine, speck and of course apple strudel. If you have to choose a good address for a regular canteen, this is it, for its prices as modest as its dishes are generous.

Unquestionably one of the best restaurants in the city. Since the ^16th century, the osteria Le Due Spade has been catering to the locals and travelers in Trento, that's for sure! Today, the osteria is a gourmet restaurant that has kept its ^17th century architecture, with a traditional tavern atmosphere, except that it offers creative and high quality regional cuisine. The dishes are declined on the mountain and sea side, with original seafood platters and tasty desserts. Reservations are essential because the osteria is very popular.

In the minimal and chic universe of Armani, a Japanese restaurant could not miss… In the heart of the Quadrilatera de la Mode, in the concept store of the Milanese designer, it is the ideal place for a sushi break (but also tempura, sashimi and bento) after a day of shopping. Stop on the ground floor and enjoy a drink at the «designissime» bar-lounge. 

Located in a wooden house, between the barn and the period chalet, with a view of the mountains, this warm and friendly gastronomic restaurant revisits traditional dishes with talent and know-how, respecting regional products with a lot of creativity. You dine here in a chalet setting but with white tablecloths and a fireplace. A couple is in charge: Mr. in the dining room and Mrs. in the kitchen. We loved the original guinea fowl with kale, pistachio and black truffle, to be damned!

Situated on the shores of Lake Como, in a quiet area on this small lake island, this restaurant is a little bit special.... At La Locanda, only one menu is served, the same one since 1947, the opening date of the restaurant. A change of scenery is guaranteed. The menu includes wine, service and all taxes. It starts with a tomato salad and various raw vegetables accompanied by a glass of wine. Then, grilled salmon and chicken before cheese and dessert: fruit and cream. Not to be missed.

Boasting a terrace overlooking the mountains, the little inn, which also has four rooms, has been in existence since 1998. The atmosphere is family-friendly, the place is simple and offers local cuisine and pizzas. The menu is rounded off by a few reminders of the seaside(spada affumicato con olio e limone, cozze alla marinara, tagliere del Feudatario, tagliolini alla crema di noce, minestrone di verdura con brugarelli...). A tasting of home-produced extra-virgin olive oil is a must. Free private parking.
