Nestled in the cliffs overlooking the picturesque Agios Nikolaos lake, Migomis is housed in a historic building dating from the late ^19th century. The breathtaking view over the lake is all the more enchanting in the evening, when the lights of the city are reflected in the deep waters of the lake. Here, we dine to the delicate sound of the grand piano... The cuisine is international and accompanied by 135 references of wine. You'll come for the view, the stilted but not excessive atmosphere, but above all because this address is an institution that we warmly recommend.

50 meters from the harbor, since 1984, there is a small, preserved and friendly tavern with a cheerfully colored garden. In the kitchen, Shona and Dimitris carefully prepare authentic Greek and Cretan dishes. We recommend the baked pork seasoned with honey and mustard, the octopus or the rabbits (raised by Dimitris in his farm) with wine. In the evening, the BBQ is bustling to the delight of the guests who will enjoy grilled meats, fresh fish and octopus. The oldest tavern in Plaka! The dishes and the name of the establishment come from Maria, the grandmother of the current managers. While the cuisine is traditional, Cretan, tasty and very well presented, the decoration is modern and features beautiful architecture. The baked fish served with vegetables is a simple and traditional dish that we warmly recommend because it has the taste of good family cooking. And at the end, try Maria's surprise dessert, it's delicious! Good service.

And we insist on the traditional aspect, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, a tasteful rustic decoration and above all a local and extremely tasty cuisine. Andreas, the young owner, makes a point of sourcing the best local products. The Imam Bayaldi (stuffed with aubergines) is simply exquisite.

This restaurant at the entrance to Apollonia offers its customers typical Greek dishes, grilled meats and pizzas. If you come here, it's not just for the traditional, home-style cuisine, it's also and above all for the exceptional view from the terrace and garden of beautiful Sifnos under the vine-covered arbour, with a small glass of house wine in hand.

Here's a very nice seaside address in the village of Ambelas. You'll recognize it by its shaded terrace with a beautiful olive tree at its center. Opened in 1976, the family tavern Manthos is one of the best addresses on the northwest coast of Corfu. The restaurant is now completely renovated in a modern and bright style, well helped by the huge panoramic terrace overlooking the beach. On the menu: several local specialties, fresh ingredients and a strong emphasis on seafood, cooked brilliantly by Andreas' mother. Andreas, a good mixologist, will serve you the cocktail of your dreams or the "Corfu Storm" always with kindness, humor and hospitality.

This restaurant has been serving quality traditional cuisine since 1967. Sons Stavros and Yiannis have taken over the family business and continue to create a friendly atmosphere. A must-see in Corfu. The "Café du 7e^ciel " (7th^Heaven Café) is a unique place, set high above Logas beach, and is reputed to be the best place on the island to watch the sunset. It has to be said that Spiros and Yourgos had the flair to build a glass footbridge there, on top of the splendid grey cliffs set against the turquoise sea. This restaurant is located on the Evreon Martyron square (Jewish Martyrs square) in a beautiful building, and has a roof garden that offers a fantastic view of the old town and the port. It is a family restaurant, with a very friendly, young and French speaking staff. The cuisine is international, of quality and you will have enough to satisfy your hunger: the portions are generous! Some evenings, music concerts are organized. The aperitif is offered by the house.

Rethymnon has the deserved reputation of having very nice places to eat, and missing this one would be a mistake. First for its enchanting setting, whether you eat outside in the beautiful flowered alley or inside in a small rustic courtyard organized around a pretty well (in Greek pigadi) which gives the restaurant its name. You can enjoy a wide variety of mezzedes as well as the succulent baked lamb mouse, Greek version, with potatoes and wild vegetables from the Cretan mountains, among others. The staff is friendly and welcoming, just like the owner Yourgos, who is known throughout the city. Close to the port, the restaurant is located on a busy street of Rethymno, one of the most animated in the area.

This tavern, located in the new town but in a traditional setting, in the shade of an arbour from which bougainvillea hang, is a little gem. Since 2011, Jani and Linda have been serving local, family-style food based on grilled meats and seafood dishes, not forgetting the inevitable gyros. The dishes have moved upmarket in recent years, and what was once a simple taverna is now a fine restaurant.

In the garden of an old captain's house dating from 1825, you can find yourself under a bougainvillea by candlelight in one of the most romantic places in the village. Candouni offers a Mediterranean cuisine defending fresh and local products. Especially not to miss the lamb baked in a paper parchment. Authentic atmosphere where good food and good mood meet. The very friendly managers speak fluent French.

Since 1958 and three generations ago, Simos has been the place to come for fresh fish caught every morning in the waters around the island. The à la carte menu includes fresh squid from September to June. The waiters are friendly and give good recommendations. Some meats are local and come from the family farm. Mastelo and chickpea soup are other Sifnos specialties. The good news is that prices here have remained reasonable despite inflation.
