This true academy, which is part of the National Conference of Academies, is the worthy heir to the first French language academy created in 1607 by two Savoyards: François de Sales and Antoine Favre. This first academy flourished for only three seasons, but it produced beautiful fruits that came back to nourish the spirits in the 19th century. Today, this academy publishes the Revue savoisienne annually, manages the castle of Montrottier and a library, open on Thursday mornings, of 12,500 books on Savoy.
