A newspaper born in 1999 from the merger of L'Agriculteur Savoyard - born at the Liberation and formerly called Journal du Commerce - created in 1871 in Rumilly by the printer Alexis Ducret, and Le Vert d'Aix-les-Bains. The Ducret family has modernized this newspaper for five generations.

Created in 1945 in Haute-Savoie, L'Essor Savoyard is part of the Le Messager group, whose headquarters are in Thonon-les-Bains. L'Essor Savoyard has two Thursday editions - one in Haute-Savoie and one in Savoie - which can be found on newsstands and in digital format. With a circulation of more than 5,000 copies, the newspaper summarizes the week's news and provides in-depth coverage of local issues, from politics to justice, including cultural pages. We like the exhaustive agenda of the week's events and outings. A must-read.
