The exhibition "Riccardo Gualino the Magnificent - Life and Work of a Collector" is on display on the first floor of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Chambéry until 22 March 2020. This exhibition was designed and produced by the Musei Reali of Turin, a twin city with Chambéry. While visiting the city of the dukes, the exhibition focuses on Riccardo Gualino's close links between art and life. It reveals an extraordinary man and presents about a hundred works and archival documents, whether paintings, sculptures or art objects ranging from antiquity to the 20th century. EXPOSITION « AU-DELÀ » - 7 FÉVRIER AU 25 MARS 2020

Exhibition

This year, the Notre-Dame de l'Assomption church in Valloire houses the work of three artists from very different worlds, but linked by "Les Mains". This is the sculptor Philippe Desloubières, known for his metal sculptures with aerial, generous and rounded shapes... The outer part, in front of the church, houses his Corten steel sculpture impregnated with the plant world. Serena Carone, whose works are rooted in the present time and often tinged with a little cynicism, but also poetry... She who likes to work with her hands... has a space inside the church, where she offers a part of her cabinet of curiosities, including a woman who cries, another who dreams softly. Nathalie Petit, visual artist who works the earth with her sensitive hands... a practitioner of self-awareness... with the visual and sound accompaniment of the Chinese pianist Yuga Wang with aerial and precise hands.

EXPOSITION TEMPORAIRE « PLONK & REPLONK » JUSQU'AU 31 MAI 2020

Exhibition

Laughing at the programme at the Cave Bear Museum: the Swiss collective Plonk & Replonk, known for its hilarious hijackings of old photographs and postcards, has seized it. Thirty-five images are on display and videos with the voice of Antoine de Caunes are presented in free access. But more than that, about ten objects from the museum were hijacked. The exhibition appeals to both children and adults: bear trap transformed into Roger Federer's tennis racket, cave toothbrush to keep breath fresh during the mating season - illustrating how long the battle between dominant male and elegant male has lasted for millennia! -The bald bear skull of the caves would attest that baldness is the probable cause of the extinction of the species... Absurd and poetic, hilarious improbabilities: a slice of good humour is present. Plonk & Replonk goodies are in store. Exposure may be prolonged.

Also noteworthy on the agenda: 4-5 July, prehistoric festival at the Musée de l'Ours des cavernes, with special activities.
