Established in 1988 in the commune of Pierrevert, in a valley at an altitude of 380 metres, 5 kilometres from Manosque, the Pierrevert golf course offers a superb eighteen-hole course in the heart of the Luberon regional park. Its layout is steep and requires, for some holes, a great deal of precision in the execution of the game, and a lot of skill to overcome certain obstacles. Passionate since her childhood, Fabienne, a state-qualified instructor and manager of the family ranch since 1999, offers courses, rides of several days, strolls of a few hours, training courses or boarding for the horses. Take a free donkey ride and discover the landscapes, flora and fauna of Mont Ventoux, a unique experience for the whole family. The donkey sets the pace for the hike, and you'll soon discover that its presence opens doors and loosens tongues in the hamlets you pass through. Contrary to its reputation, this animal is intelligent, endearing, clever and cuddly. Your donkey will carry your luggage (30 kg to 40 kg) or one of your children (under the responsibility of an adult). At the start of the tour, you'll be given all the advice you need.

Created in 1895 by British aristocrats, the Valescure golf course is the oldest in the Var. With a length of 5,019 meters, its design has the particularity of offering several relatively short holes, which can make it seem easy to negotiate. On the west coast of the Esterel massif, 6 km from Bagnols-en-Forêt, here is one of the high places of Var climbing. A small canyon with red walls 80 m high, this superb wooded site overlooks a peaceful stream; some would compare it with the wild landscapes of the Isle of Beauty! From the viewpoint, the panorama extends from the Estérel massif to Saint-Raphaël, passing by the Roquebrune and Maures rocks, all this of course with the Mediterranean in the background... Advice for beginners: go to the Colle Rousse area.

More spectacular, faster and even faster at night (on Fridays), the second largest racecourse in Marseille (after the one in Borély), created over 70 years ago, has more than 13,000 seats. The polytrack track allows higher speeds to be achieved. The racecourse has its flagship race, the Gaston Deferre Prize, which is held in June. Meetings are essentially galloping or mounted trotting races. The restaurant with its panoramic view is ideal for watching the races, very warm, especially since it is possible to bet without having to travel

The riding school will take care of training novices, children (from 5 years old) or adults, thanks to the private lessons given by Myriam and Jérôme. And for those who wish to extend their stay, they will find three comfortable gîtes on site.

How peaceful it is to ride along the water. This 35km bike tour follows part of the Carpentras canal (3 hours). The water comes from the Durance and irrigates the Comtat Venaissin plain, which is covered with market gardens and orchards. From the Gargamiane plateau, a vast field of olive groves, you can enjoy a splendid view of the Ventoux and the Dentelles, towards which you'll reach Beaumes-de-Venise. You'll also pass through Loriol-du-Comtat and Aubignan.

This 34 km loop passes through villages famous for their AOC Côtes du Rhône and AOC Ventoux wines. You'll discover Sarrians, Vacqueyras, Beaumes de Venise and Aubignan. You'll follow the Ouvèze river and cross the Carpentras canal. A pause at the Notre-dame d'Aubune chapel will be welcome before returning to Beaumes-de-Venise. Allow 3 hours to pedal with your nose in the air towards Mont Ventoux or the Dentelles. Enjoy the long rows of vines that follow the curve of the hills.

This hike, classified as difficult, revolves around the remains of a Saracen Tower that can't be ignored. It has stood atop its rocky peak since the 12th century, when it sent signals to other towers and castles in the Comtat region. All that remains today is its base. In these fantastic Dentelles with their many paths, follow the signs carefully and pack a picnic, as it will take you 4.5 hours to cover the 12 km route. It climbs up through the wooded massif, but patience will be rewarded when you reach the Rocher du Midi, where the orientation table puts names to a 360° landscape.

It's an easy hike (4.9 km, which can be done in 2H15) that takes you through the vineyards of this world-renowned, hand-harvested muscat grape. Who hasn't tasted Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, a sweet wine whose origins date back to the Middle Ages? To climb from the village to the Courens plateau, from where you'll have a view of the Dentelles de Montmirail and the Comtat plain, you'll pass the Notre-Dame d'Aubune chapel. Don't be afraid of the Rocher du Diable (Devil's Rock), which seems to want to crush it, because it's said that the Vierge's cattail holds it back! On the northern slopes of the plateau, the Ambrosi caves, former millstone quarries, bear witness to our presence here since prehistoric times.

After passing the chapel of Saint-Hilaire, you'll discover the Castellas or château de Durban, in ruins and the only vestige of the village of the same name and, above all, the namesake of the renowned producer of this delicious Muscat.

Don't miss these strange stone mushrooms that have emerged from the earth only a few kilometres from Fourcalquier! Several routes are possible to reach this unusual site from the tourist office and by climbing the path that passes by the chapel of Saint Marc. The shortest is entirely marked out in yellow. Another one combines yellow, white and red and then yellow again. Important information for people with reduced mobility: you can also get there by following the D12, known as the route de Fontienne.

The geology of Les Mourres is spectacular, with the presence of numerous limestone rocks with original shapes that stand out in the traditional surrounding landscape of the Pays de Forcalquier. It is the progressive erosion of the marl originally enveloping them that has revealed them. But the interest of the place is also due to the presence of a particular fauna and flora that have adapted to the harshness of this natural semi-desert environment. This is how you can observe, among others, the presence of the Villars broom heath, the ocellated lizard, the Lusitania marbled bird or the eared traquet...
