The covered market has been open for more than 130 years. It is a steel construction in the style of the Pavillon Baltard in Paris. It groups together butchers, butchers, caterers, bakers, confectioners, cheesemakers, seafood, fruit and vegetables, restaurant, oriental products and ready meals. Le marché couvert de Bergerac est situé en plein centre ville. On y retrouve un boucher, une boulangerie, un poissonnier et des maraîchers. Le lieu est assez petit, mais convivial.
