Born from a feudal mound, then from a castle implanted on a rocky promontory dominating the ria of Goyen, Pont-Croix, capital of the Cap-Sizun, is labelled "Petite Cité de Caractère". With its undeniable charm, it seduced many artists such as Matisse, Flaubert or Maupassant. With its medieval cobbled streets, lined with old houses grouped around the Romanesque church, Pont-Croix is also a town full of history. Not to mention the "Rue Chères" - La Petite and La Grande - which on one side slope steeply down to the Goyen and on the other side climb up the rocky promontory. To see: the old windmill of Quénictuec
