While pleasure boating predominates today, Audierne has managed to maintain a high-end inshore fishing industry with noble fish and shellfish, becoming one of the 2 largest lobster ports in France. There are around 343 fishermen. It's a seaside resort full of charm, as much for its staircase construction over the Goyen estuary as for its narrow streets. And let's not forget the unmissable Trescadec sandy beach, which stretches as far as the Sainte-Evette slipway. The market takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and in summer on Tuesdays in the late afternoon, for a farmers' market.
