Beware, legendary place! The mythical sailing school opened its first centre here, in Concarneau, many years ago since Les Glénans was created at the end of the war in 1947! Today it is the world reference for sailing teaching, with 15,000 trainees and instructors welcomed every year. From the beginner sailor, from the age of 12 upwards, to the experienced sailor who wishes to pass his or her sailing instructor's exams, via the numerous corporate courses organised by the school, everyone is welcomed with the spirit of the pioneers: a passion for the sea, the practice of sailing but also the spirit of association (it is even said that some people fall in love and find their soul mate there). Cruising, kitesurfing, catamaran, dinghy sailing or windsurfing (windsurfing), sailing is available in many forms, with formulas ranging from a few days of training courses to training for a sailing instructor's licence or a boat licence. The courses are mainly organized around the Glénan archipelago (beware the islands do not take "s" unlike the school), but nowadays extend to the Mediterranean or the West Indies. The Finisterian site remains however unique, with its semi-enclosed body of water, its translucent waters and its preserved landscapes! It is an ingratable of the area as its reputation is legendary. Clever: all the courses can be booked online, on the site which is particularly clear in terms of the various and varied offers. In a word: go for it!

In Concarneau, when the summer comes back, you want to enjoy the beach as much as possible for sunbathing or for sports! And it falls well, at the White Sands beach, free animations take place from Tuesday to Saturday during the months of July and August. Children will be eligible for multi-sport activities, and the largest for fitness and gym in the morning and beach volleyball in the afternoon. Teens will not be staying, because they will be able to register for collective sports tournaments between 14 am and 17 pm.
