Bad Staffelstein is a small spa town in Upper Franconia, known for hosting two remarkable sacred sites. On the one hand, there's the BasilikaVierzehnheiligen (Basilica of the Fourteen Saints), designed by the star architect of the time, Balthasar Neumann, who was particularly highly regarded by the prince-bishops of the Schönborn family. Bad Staffelstein also boasts the Banz Abbey(Kloster Banz). A stroll through the old town reveals further sights, including the beautiful half-timbered town hall, numerous half-timbered houses from the early Baroque era, the town tower and the remains of the old town wall.
