Located southeast of the Bvumba Mountains, the Burma Valley begins about 25 km south of Mutare. It is a fertile, well-watered valley that was used by settlers for tobacco and fruit production. It is still home to important farms. To get there, head towards Bvumba, then follow the main road, ignoring the turnoff to the Bvumba Mountains. A paved road runs through the valley, around the mountains, and into the Essex Valley, which has only dirt roads. Buses run from the valley to the Sakubva bus station in Mutare.
