The park is located a little further north of Jurmala and Kemeri National Park, around fifty kilometers away. Engure National Park offers a 3.5 km walk along the shores of Lake Engure, with the aim of discovering the 22 species of native orchids that inhabit the area. The lake, Latvia's third largest, is home to 162 species of birds, which can be observed from the observation tower. From the tower, you can also see Latvia's famous blue cows and wild horses. The best time to admire the orchids is mid-June.
