Second largest city in the state behind Albuquerque, Las Cruces does not have the aura of its big sister. We often pass through Las Cruces without necessarily stopping before diving into El Paso. However, this city at the edge of the Chihuahua desert deserves a few hours of visit. It is already spectacular, located at the foot of a magnificent mountain range that contrasts beautifully with the flat terrain. The main attraction, the Old Mesilla, could be an excellent stop for the day or even a little more. In the heart of the new town, there is a nice street where restaurants, stores, bars and museums are mixed.
