The Chimanimani Mountains were developed 1,600 million years ago and form several distinct ranges straddling Mozambique and Zimbabwe. The ridges of Precambrian quartzite (compressed sandstone) form jagged escarpments that sometimes look like the work of some giant sculptor. One can easily find refuge in well-known caves that are easily accessible along the paths and waterfalls. Once traversed by merchants trading between the seaports of Mozambique and the Rhodesian interior, the Chimanimani Mountains have been transformed into a transboundary national park. The park covers 17,110 ha, but is only about 7 km wide. Wildlife found in this area includes many antelopes such as eland, black antelope, harnessed guib, blue duiker and orotrague. The species of butterflies and endemic birds will be appreciated by the amateurs. The park is considered a real kingdom for hikers, it is accessible only on foot and consists of many walking and trekking trails. These are organized around the Bundi River, which cuts the park in two parts, and sometimes accelerates into a torrent or waterfall, before lingering in the soft and polished lair of some natural pools ... Extremely isolated and wild, Chimanimani Park will seduce the nature lovers in search of exclusivity
