About halfway between Chimoio and Manica, a tiny paved road runs due north. In very good condition, it passes through rubber trees and a few corn plantations, and an old hotel stands on top. A few steps away, the Garuzo train station is located in the middle of nowhere. In the past, this hamlet was an important railway stop when the Chimoio-Manica road passed through. Since the EN6 road was extended further south, Garuzo has been inexorably abandoned. The visit is worthwhile for its old-fashioned and quiet charm, but also for the small waterfall at the exit of the town.
