At the westernmost point of the Costa de la Muerte, Muxía is a pleasant fishing village. Here, the Jacobean route to Santiago de Compostela in Finisterre passes through, used by pilgrims who want to reach the end of the world. They also come to the sanctuary of the Virgen de la Barca, a place of worship for the Virgin who appeared to Santiago. Legend has it that she arrived on the coast by boat, with two rocks representing her on the point. The first, called Abalar, is said to represent the boat and the second, Os Cadrís, the sail. You can also enjoy magnificent views from the viewpoint of Mount Corpiño, which rises to 68 metres above sea level.
