About 90 km from the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, this is where the road to Santiago de Compostela ends, at the end of the cape that thousands of pilgrims come to join every year. The city, built like an amphitheatre around the port, disappoints with its many recent constructions. But the port is worth the detour just for the atmosphere at the lonja (market hall) where the sea workers are busy selling their fish. From the old lighthouse or the Vista Monte do Facho (at the top of the path, zigzagging behind the lighthouse), however, you can enjoy a superb panorama of the ocean and the bay, especially at sunset, and feel like you are at the end of the world.
