At the gateway to the Mâconnais region, southern Burgundy offers its vines a special kind of sunshine, giving the wines an incomparably fruity note. The Cave de Charnay-lès-Mâcon, with its evocative name, brings together 60 winegrowers cultivating some 120 hectares of vineyards. Their 15 appellations include such fine names as pouilly-fuissé, saint-véran and viré-clessé in white, as well as crémants de Bourgogne and mâcon charnay rouge.
