Between Port Howe and Devil's Point is the modest village of Bain Town. While walking through the village, at the back of a ruined house (still a construction of Father Jerome), we will find a hole called "Bat Cave". It is a cave populated by bats and in which the stone crabs have taken up permanent residence. Nothing transcendent, but if you have never seen "stone crabs" anywhere else than in your plate, you will find some here. Take advantage of this visit to go to the Mermaid hole, about 3 m deep and 25 m wide, gateway to a network of underwater caves which, according to the legend, shelters a beautiful mermaid.
