Grand Bahama, the fourth largest island in the archipelago (after Andros, Eleuthera and Great Abaco) is located 80 km from the Florida coast. Under-exploited until little, it became the Bahamas'second economic and tourist hub through a well-managed boom in the second half of the twentieth century. This is one of the favorite cruise stops of cruise boats, whose visitors appreciate good zero-rated business at International Bazaar. Large hotels with impressive architecture, a casino, golf courses, many restaurants, bars and discotheques add to the tourist stamp of the place. The island is bathed in translucent green waters and has several fine sandy beaches, such as Gold Rock and Pelican Point, the largest of the island.
