Le Terminus, a stone's throw from the Chalon-sur-Saône train station, is the chic brasserie of the charming Hôtel Saint-Georges, with its warm, contemporary decor. Chef Luc Filoé combines creativity, tradition and generosity. He works with seasonal produce and puts Burgundy and French terroir in the spotlight. Cheek of beef, grilled pork chop, fillet of sea bass, burgers, snails, vacherin and honey-roasted pineapple are all on the menu, at reasonable prices. Service is rigorous and smiling.

De passage à Chalon sur Saône, sur la route du tour du France sans vélo, avons fait un arrêt réjouissant au terminus : au prix imbattable rapport qualité prix ; accueil en salle plus que professionnel ; on se sent comme à la maison. Le chef vient volontiers vers les clients, très souriant. Des produits locaux d’une fraîcheur exemplaire sont cuisiniers juste comme il faut. Le responsable de restaurant et son équipe assurent un service plein d’entrain. Nous reviendrons certainement lors du prochain Tour de France, peut-être avant, car le restaurant est une belle étape.

Après une escapade sur Lyon, traversée du beaujolais, arrivée à Châlons sur Saône, belle decouverte, très bon accueil,, lieu sympathique et cosy, cuisine raffinée et service impeccable.
Nous nous sommes régalés et avons apprécié notre soirée, merci à toute l'équipe.
